Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great food We stayed for only 1 night as part of a week in Cyprus. The only problem we had was our room safe developed a fault but this was dealt with very efficiently. The food in the roof top restaurant is excellent, well worth a visit. May 1, 2013

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointing service I have stayed at many Holiday Inns and have always had an excellent experience. I am afraid that was not the case in Nicosia. The location is great, but nothing else. The service and attitude of the staff is the worst I have experienced in a Holiday Inn. On arrival, not even a HELLO, or a thank you (I am a gold card holder). Literally the minimum, fill the form in, room ***. There was no more communication. Not a great welcome. Go to breakfast, despite the room being practically empty, on all 3 mornings I had breakfast, the man in charge never even acknowledged my existence. Honestly, you can easily stay there for 5 nights like I did and not even have any form of acknowledgement never mind a conversation with the staff. Sorry Holiday Inn but I won't be staying at this one again. March 11, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great staff and food made a great stay I had four very enjoyable nights at the hotel. The reception staff was extremely helpful and friendly and happily assisted in finding out about things to see/do in and around Nicosia, booking activities as well as general questions. The japanese restaurant on the ground floor was amazing and I tried both the dinner option and the sushi lunch. Beds and room were excellent quality and while some parts of the hotel appear a little tired decor wise, and could perhaps benefit from a refresh, it did not detract from a very enjoyable and relaxing few days. As always the thing that makes or brakes an enjoyable stay is often the hotel staff and for me the staff at this hotel were simply great. I came to just recharge from work, relax and meet some friends for a few days and this was exactly what was achieved. March 10, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Never again! After this experience, I will not use Holiday Inn again, despite my Gold Priority Club Status. Reception staff not very helpful. Room generally drab and unwelcoming. Hot water was very slow, and often stopped completely. After reporting this three times I was offered a move with only two nights of my stay remaining - too late! This problem must have been known, so why was I given the room in the first place? Bathroom old and basic; shower above an narrow bath with no non-slip surface - dangerous. Lighting too dim to read by - took two days to get the bulbs changed. Internet slow and intermittent, expensive; only allowed one PC to connect at a time. TV limited channels, poor picture quality on English speaking channels. Noisy - windows need better soundproofing. March 2, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Needs an Update My room & bedding was very clean, but the room and bathroom structure and fittings were old, and in need of repair. There were holes and cracks in the wall, that had been painted over. The TV was an old model with limited channels available. Secondary glazing would also be useful, as the local mosque starts it's call to prayer very early in the morning! There was some evidence from temporary signs that rooms were being refurbished, so things are improving. The staff were very helpful, and polite, and the food at breakfast was good, with a wide selection. WiFi was expensive in the rooms, with a slow and intermittent connection, and you have to pay per device, so if you have a laptop and tablet/phone, it can get very expensive. WiFi is free in the communal area near reception. The hotel is well located for the town centre. February 8, 2013
