Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by excellent service and golf course on-site This Holiday Inn Express location in Pella, Iowa is a pleasant and relaxing area. It is located only 30 to 35 minutes from the Des Moines area. A golf course is located across the street from this location. The service is excellent and the morning breakfast menu is also excellent. The front desk staff created a waiting list, diligently checked for cancellations, and took the time to update us personally about a room opening. We were welcomed as Priority Club Members and given snacks and bottled water upon arrival. May 17, 2013

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 Bad Mattress We stayed at the HI over Thanksgiving in a double queen room. The bed was concave and constantly caused us to roll toward the middle. There was a ledge on the right side of the bed and if you moved over to the left you would roll to the middle. Our toilets would run unless we jiggled the handle. The rest of the room was showing its age as well. Staff was very nice though. Very friendly and outgoing. November 29, 2012
