Another really good experience staying at HI Portsmouth. The staff are all so obliging and friendly. At breakfast they were attentive and cleared away used crockery so that the table was never cluttered.
The breakfast itself was brilliant, we especially love the fruits of forest compote.
Can't wait for the next time we are in East Hants and back at the Holiday Inn

We stayed overnight for a local wedding and found the staff extremely helpful. Lorraine was a star and Maz was the personification of polite service. We will return for a weekend away.

The food in the evening was poor, the bread was stale and cold. This was replaced with another sandwich which was'nt much better but the bar manager did'nt charge us and gave us extra chips.
I have to say that the food at breakfast was very good and freshly cooked with plenty of refills

Enjoyable experience while staying at Hotel. Reception staff very good. Only real comment was evening meal, quality of food excellent, but the service was very slow, I think that was due to number of staff available, and not directed to their service, which was reasonable under the circumstances. Would use hotel again especially if discounts were on offer as before.
PS; shame the Jacuzzi was out of use due to a leak.

We decided to book a weekend away and thought Portsmouth would be great as it has the shopping as well as the naval connection....my husband was in the Royal Navy. Booked the Holiday Inn because of the location close to the Gunwharf Quays centre and good value for money as we booked early.
The staff were very helpful and the room comfortable and clean.

As we have relatives living in Portsmouth we have become regular guests at the Holiday Inn Pembroke Road.We always receive a warm,friendly welcome from reception at check in and what a great idea to have a colouring-in table for the little ones equipped with milk and cookies too.There is ample space in the family appointed rooms;we normally pick a family movie from the vast selection to entertain the children whilst unpacking.
Breakfast is always something we look forward to in the mornings;
as usual the staff are always polite and attentive.
We always look forward to our stay.Very convenient location for Gunwharf Quays and the Historic Dockyard.
