Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Service and care I have been coming to Sea View Qinhuangdao for a number of years now. It has always served as a welcome retreat from the hustle and bustle, and the bad air situation, of Beijing. As for this time, I would especially like to acknowledge the service of the F&B Manager and his team. I arrived suffering from a strong cold, and I was asked about my wellbeing every day, and treated to some special herbal tea supporting my health. The food and the buffets are great. I very much, as always, enjoyed staying in the sea view room. However, the door to the balcony (as in other similar rooms I stayed in) could use some repairs and insulation measures. Not to my satisfaction was the spa area. I had asked in advance for the sauna to be turned on, but when I arrived, neither of the saunas was turned on. There were no large towels in the shower area (usually, there is a whole stack of them). The shower heads are outdated and haven't been working well for a while. They are definitely not 4-star standard which is strangely surprising when compared to the high quality of the other services mentioned. All in all, service and hospitality, food selection and location (in spite of China's largest coal shipping harbor nearby) are the great pluses of Sea View Qinhuangdao. January 28, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by PERSONALIZED SERVICE I have been staying at Holiday Inn Qinhuangdao at several occasions. Each time I come I am greeted like a VIP. I always get the room of my choice. The staff at reception and the bell boy are always smiling and provide an excellent service. The room is always nice and well kept. The food and beverage manager Mr. Krishna and his team mates Kumar and Andy and rest of the beautiful Girls take extra care while I am staying in the hotel and dinning. They make me feel at home. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 5 Star hotel - Best in Qinhuangdao From the time you arrive to the checkout everything in this hotel is perfect. I have stayed at this hotel a total of 8 weeks during 2012. This is the best Holiday Inn I have stayed in, anywhere in the world. This property eclipses Crowne Plazas and Intercontinental hotels in other parts of the world. If you want to see the beginning of the Great Wall named "Old Dragon Head" then go to Qinhuangdao and stay at Qinhuangdao Holiday Inn Sea View. Also, you can visit "Jido Shan" or the Great Wall as it ascends the mountain range at Qinhuangdao. The Executive Sous Chef at QHD Holiday Inn Sea View and his staff will delight your senses with his food presentations from India, Nepal, China, Germany, Russia, France and Western style food. The Food and Beverage manager will see to it that you are waited on promptly and properly in any one of the four restaurants on the property. The hotel General Manager will do whatever it takes to provide a very happy stay at this hotel. He is very personable and likes to meet all of his guests. November 22, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by very good rooms and sea view I was worrying about getting any proper stay while in Qinhuangdao and to my surprise I found a holiday inn! Second surprise was that it was better then few of the same group even in Beijing including crown plaza. Room views was excellent giving a kind of good feel when coming back from work. Property condition is brand new and I loved everything including Ramayana indian restaurant. thumbs up! One thing I might regret is that I am a platinum member and somehow my stay was considered as Non Qualifying stay not getting me any points for 3 night stay! Hope to get points but anyhow while I was on a business trip, I recommend this hotel to all type of travelers. October 18, 2012
