Was a bit of a walk to get to from the station, through a run down part of town, but once there it was comfortable, everyone was really friendly and I'd stay there again if up that way.

I stayed here recently as was pleasantly surprised. The room was spacious, had air conditioning and a good bathroom. the bar area was pretty good, with standard but good quality food. The staff were very helpful and check in and out was straightforward.
Breakfast didn't have the greatest of choices, but enough to set you up for the day, and it was included in the room rate, which was good. On the whole this place is pretty much what you need if your having a short stay in Sheffield.

The room is sizeable and well furnished, comfortable bed.
The bathroom is modern and clean but the designer had no idea about toilet seats (they cannot stay up -- so not for men)
Asked for a non-smoking room on booking , got one non-smoking that was obviously smoked in and judging by the number of cigarette butts outside the window , this hotel has no control over how much their guests smoke in the rooms.Staff courteous but not particulary helpful. Poor utilization of car parking space.

The Holiday In Express Sheffield was the perfect stop off en route to my destination in Harrogate. The staff were friendly and attentive and assisted in giving me directions, even drawing a map and also booking me a taxi for the following morning. My room was very well equipped and spotlessly clean. I was amazed at the size of the bed, which was also extremely comfortable. The 7th floor room, with full length windows, gave a perfect vista over the city which was a joy to wake up to. Breakfast surpassed my expectations, with unlimited cooked buffet alongside cereals, fruit, yoghurts, pastries, muffins and cheeses. Would most definitely choose Holiday Inn Express for future city breaks.

The room was very comfortable - nice shower. No noise heard overnight so overall really good value and a good stay.

I liked the businesslike décor, nice new shower room and comfortable bed. The room was very clean and all the equipment was functional. Good location, and the river view was a bonus. The only drawback was it was quite hard to park as there were not enough allocated spaces. The service was good though, staff were pleasant and helpful.

Just what I needed after a few days staying in a hostel. Room was very comfortable and quiet as well as the breakfast being very nice to wake up to! Front desk girl was a bit patronising about how the bill works though.
