Rooms are always nice and clean, and they do have soft pillows. The staff is always so friendly and helpful, best place to stay in Sumner!!

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 Don't expect to get any sleep.....
I was very disappointed with our stay because we were woken up 7 times during the night by freight trains blasting their horns as their track wove around the hotel. Every time a train roared past it felt like it was coming right into the room. How can you put a hotel in this location and charge people to sleep when that is the last thing you can expect to do.

This Holiday Inn is exceptionaly clean, service is great, the only Holiday Inn I have stayed at that uses glass dishes and real cutlery in their breakfast room. We were treated very well here. I highly recommend this hotel.

On average I stay 2 weeks out of every month. I could not ask for a better place. The staff are the best - Emily, Hannah, Kim, Crystal, and Larry always make me feel welcome.

It is very unfortunate that no one told us about the trains that went by every hour, night and day. Not only did they go by the hotel, but as they approached they blew their whistle. Then as they went by they, blew their whistle and until they completely went through the intersection near the hotel. The rooms were nice, but we were not able to sleep at all due to the trains. No where on the website or at check in did they tell us about the trains. There were ear plugs in the bathroom and now we know why. If you can sleep through anything, stay here. If you can't sleep through the sound of a train that sounds like it is righ next to you stay somewhere else far far away from this town. You can also hear the train in town so there is no escaping.

Our room was very nice, and clean. The water pressure was not very good. Had some trouble using our room keys, but the staff reeled them right away.

This hotel is perfect for doing business in Sumner, WA. Rooms are big and comfy, so I can spread out and prepare for the next day's appointments. Nice pool and hot tub as well. If you're on the train side there can be some noise, but not bad. I usually stroll over to Subway for a healthy dinner.
Holiday Inn Express is great in that I get what I expect every time.
