We really enjoyed our stay, it was a great touch having the mercedes that was laid on to take us to the races and back, hope to come back again next year

Second time I've stayed here & I was very impressed. Despite being the day after the Derby,all was stick & span, the staff super helpful & friendly & it was an excellent, good value experience.

The hotel fully met expectations and presented an excellent breakfast. Staff were helpful ans professional. (having just come back from USA we found the rooms small). There is adequate food nearby but distant from town centre and rail to London.

Having stayed at numerous IHG hotels including many Holiday Expresses, this is the only time I've not felt I could recommend the hotel.
Staying for 4 days on business and they don't have irons that guests can take to the room. Instead they have an ironing room the other side of the hotel, which was a real inconvenience to go to each morning. This caused frustration for the whole stay as I would normally iron the shirts each morning.
Unfortunately I won't be staying here again. This one small thing has meant that this particular hotel won't get repeat business.
Rooms are clean as is always the case for IHG hotels which usually provide a very welcoming and comfortable stay. All other times I have stayed at IHG hotels have been at hotels that I would have no hesitation in recommending.

Nice hotel, great staff and good location. The only small criticisms would be that there should be a mirror on the office/work station wall so that it could also be used as a dressing table.
A bath as well as a shower would also be welcomed, as would a DVD player.
Apart from that, very good and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending to others or returning for another visit myself, as I am doing later in May! Keep up the good work!!!! :)

Quilt on bed too short.
No bath in bath room
Bed very hard and uncomfortable.
Food over cooked and over priced.

Really clean room
Staff very friendly and helpful, especially the lady who got me some milk for my toddlers bedtime drink.
Pub across the road very nice to eat in.
Breakfast a little manic but once we found a seat it was fine.,

We stayed here with a large group of family, including a number of small children. The booking process was easy and the staff service we received was great, however we had requested via email a couple of travel cots for 2 different rooms, and our friends received a room with two double beds and NO travel cot, plus our travel cot was non existent also. The cooked breakfast choices were also a let down as there was no bacon....not a massive problem I hear you say, however as someone requiring a gluten free diet, I found that only beans and scrambled egg didn't really give me a massive variety...as the only other option was sausages. We did all love the friendly reception staff, and the fact that the bar stayed open late and could do items of food until the small hours. Nice spacious layout and nice and bright décor. Overall excellent...just a shame about the breakfast and the travel cots. Stay here though, as the views and surroundings are also amazing!!
