Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by When in Tokyo, my hotel of choice! You can't beat the convenient location of the Intercontinental - ANA The Strings Tokyo. Just five minutes away from Shinagawa Station (Shinkansen available) and about 30 minutes by train to major Tokyo and Yokohama hot spots. The rooms are very modern and clean; the staff friendly and very approachable. The quality of the amenities is better than most top hotel brands in Tokyo. Breakfast very healthy with a nice mixture of Japanese and Western options. When in Tokyo,definitely my hotel of choice! November 22, 2014

From the convenient location adjacent to a central hub train station in Shinagawa to the many things to do in the immediate area, I couldn't have been more pleased with the hotel choice recommended by my travel agent. She knows that I prefer the Intercontinental brand of hotels, so this was high on my list to try going to a new city for me. The staff was absolutely wonderful and was always ready and able to assist with my questions, and I had a lot of them being unfamiliar with the surrounding area. The concierge was great in helping my wife and I make the most of our limited time as well. All around, this was one of the best experiences that I have had staying in a hotel for the first time!
