Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great for the most part The hotel is beautifully decorated, clean, and well maintained. Most of the staff was reasonably friendly, too. At check-in, I was disappointed that there was no recognition for priorty club members as we have experienced at other Holiday Inn Express hotels. There was some slight confusion with the block of rooms I had booked, but the manager took care of it within a few minutes. Even though we could connect to wifi, it was beyond slow. The pool water did not seem to be heated and I do believe my core body temperature dropped about 15 degrees. Luckily, there was free hot chocolate! The worst part of our stay was that a large group of teenagers checked in and seemed to over take the hotel. They were quite loud and disprectful. In the pool, they had no regard for the rules or that our young children were in there. Same held true at breakfast the following morning. This hotel is close to the thru way and offers restaurants within walking distance. April 19, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice, new, and comfortable I enjoyed my recent stay at this new hotel. The bed was comfortable, the room looked brand new and clean, and the Internet signal was strong. My only complaint would be that the hotel is somewhat noisy. The walls do not seem to be very well sound insulated. However, I would recommend this hotel and I will stay there again. March 27, 2013

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Noisy I arrived after a long day of work and travel towards Buffalo, the front desk attendent was very nice had a room on first floor was clean and well decorated just wanted to chill and go to bed after trying to sleep the house personal started to clean the room next to me and were very loud and went in and out over an hour I found that the doors and walls are paper thin and could hear the attendents down the hall loud and clear, I travel alot for my work and lack in what I look for most in a hotel PEACE & QUIET, I will pass on this hotel in my future travels. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by New and quite nice We stayed 3 nights in a double queen room while visiting our daughter at a local college. This hotel appears to be brand new; our room and the common areas were very clean and unblemished. The staff was VERY nice and bent over backwards to be helpful. Breakfast was good, and the workers there were always friendly as can be. Nothing fancy but a very good, safe, clean place to stay. One thing to note: Our room was on the 2nd floor over the pool and a bunch of kids were swimming, so it got VERY loud. I don't think the walls/floors are very thick. March 8, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Weekend Getaway We came to the Utica area this past President’s Day weekend from Baltimore to enjoy some winter sports with my (3) year old son. It was so nice to receive a warm welcome from the Front Desk at 2A after an anticipated six hour drive which turned into an eight hour drive due to snow in NE Pennsylvania. He quickly checked us in and even warmed up a few cinnamon buns for a late night snack. Our room was exceptionally clean and the beds very comfortable. We had a suite with (2) beds which was more than enough space for (3) people. It was nice to have a microwave and refrigerator in our room as a grocery store is less than a mile away. The shower consistently had hot water and a great flow. The heating system was in fine working order. My son enjoyed the pool though I thought the water to be a bit cool. The workout facilities had (3) treadmills and an elliptical machine. Breakfast had a variety of options to choose from (eggs, pancakes, oatmeal, other cereal, pastries and bagels) and was tasty. It would have been nice to have some fresh fruit such as bananas, oranges and apples. The breakfast staff, were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our morning conversations with them. The noise level was our only major criticism, but this has more to do with the construction of the hotel and the fact that family in the room next to ours had out of control infants/toddlers. We are fairly tolerant of little kids, given we have one of our own, but this was over the top with yelling and cursing. The thin walls didn’t help the situation. The Front Desk did offer to move us, but we didn’t feel like packing up our stuff on our final night. The location was convenient to all of our planned activities. Overall, the place had the feel of a bed and breakfast despite being a major chain hotel. We definitely recommend this hotel for anyone coming to cross country ski in the area. February 21, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very happy we stayed here! We were in town for a funeral with other family members. We had several rooms booked for several nights. There were no complaints from any of the family members. The rooms were clean and the staff was always very friendly. Breakfast choices change daily so you didn't have to eat the same items every day. From the check in to the check out, all was great. I don't know if we'll be in your area again, but I have added this hotel to my favorites list, just in case. Thank you for your hospitality! February 8, 2013
