Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Great staff and service
Intercontinental Vienna was our third Intercontinental hotel that we stayed in during our spring holiday in Europe and from the moment we checked in till we checked out, we encountered friendly, efficient and experienced staff. Apart from the very comfortable room, the high quality that we had come to expect from an intercontinental hotel, I would have to say that the friendly and efficient staff is what makes this Intercontinental hotel stand out from the rest.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by MIchel12 A great weekend getaway!
We spent three nights in the Vienna Intercontinental this past weekend and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Check in was fast and efficient and we were given an upgrade to a suite based on my Ambassador status. The room was a corner room which allowed for a fabulous view. There was a sitting area, a work area and a very comfortable king size bed. Upon calling housekeeping to request hypoallergenic bedding, our beds were changed within 10 minutes- very fast!
We spent two evenings in the lobby bar/lounge. The food was great (Wiener Schnitzel, Gulaschsuppe) and a great drink selection. We asked the concierge for some recommendations for dinner and specified that we wanted a good local experience. He came back immediately with two great recommendations and made reservations for us at one of the restaurants. He also made recommendations for places to go the following day for some unique Viennese pastries. Overall great service and everyone seemed eager to help us.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Breakfast123 Good hotel but can be better
A good solid hotel but bed is a bit old with significant sagging on one end. Great housekeeping with some going the extra miles.
One concern is the lack of flexibility on some part. I had an early flight and requested for a packed breakfast which was not met. Then I asked for a slightly earlier breakfast (~15 mins) but was turned down again. I tried my luck 5 mins to the start of breakfast and yet was turned away when it was obviously that breakfast was ready to be served; the waiter was talking away at the reception. Ended up stuffing my mouth in order to catch my flight.
overall was a great stay but the last breakfast just killed the fifth star.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by HumanFly Superb location
This hotel has an excellent location for a trip to Vienna, whether its business or pleasure. However, the hotel has little to no recognition for Platinum Ambassadors: you do get a welcome letter, a bottle of water, an apple and a little chocolate candy, but thats about it. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially the porter. Had to pay for lounge access and internet, the hotel does not upgrade to club floor. Breakfast in the lounge was good, but nothing special. Overall, the hotel is a bit overpriced and there are better hotels and deals in the area.

Over the past nine months I have racked up many stays at this hotel. During these stays I've had the great pleasure of getting to know many of the exceptional staff. They have truly gone out of their way to make me feel very welcome; they are like family to me.
I am looking forward to the roll out of the new media and entertainment system as well as other planned enhancements.
The location is fantastic with excellent views of the city and nearby Stadtpark. The proximity to Mitte station makes for easy connections throughout the area.
This is a perfect hotel for business, newly weds or tourists.
