Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by kwilso48 Great staff and quiet location!
Here for my daughters graduation, had a noise issue the first night which was remedied immediately by getting us a different room (although I hated to give up the jetted tub!). The bed and pillows were very comfy and the front desk, housekeeping, and breakfast staff were very accommodating. Will return!

Our suite was very comfortable and well-decorated. Unfortunately it was adjacent to the exit door which woke us up several times. It slams with a big bang and alerted us to the fact that we shouldn't take a room next to an exit, elevator, bathroom, or ice machine.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by jimi007 Super beds very helpful staff
To start desk staff was like family welcoming us into their guest room. The room, spa, pool, and we can't forget the pancake machine at breakfast was all great. The pillows were so fluffy and perfect I ordered them online, we could have got the firm pillows. Naaahhh... :-) Great folks taking care of our needs, super clean hotel in every way.

Most of the Holiday Express give some recognition to priority members at checkin. Not here. We stayed at three Holiday Express during the trip( I assume they are not considered competitors) and this one lacked all the greetings the others provided. No cookies, no water to members. Some small apples were in a bowl, since this was our second time here I took six because last time I found some that were rotten and I wanted to see if they improved. Two rotten ones, one soft but not yet rotten, three OK but not great. Nice room.

While visiting southern Utah we always stay at the HIE just north of St. George in Washington City. This is one of the few hotels where the staff takes the time to greet you and inquire of your stay. The rooms are always well maintained, the staff is friendly and the breakfast - with the fantastic mountain views from the dining room - is the perfect way to start the day. In fact, over the years we felt so welcome and comfortable at this HIE, that we recently moved to St. George from Indiana.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by GeorgeandVern Not a happy experience overall
Property had only ONE elevator -- inadequate for the size of the property; a continual problem for both guests AND staff. No "firm" pillows, despite embrodery on the pillowcases. Bathroom sink's basin plug worked poorly, and the sink's spray nozzle was annoying. Dogs were allowed in breakfast area -- a big negative for people who don't care for other peoples' pets. Back of the hairdryer in the bathroom repetitively fell apart. No complementary cookies, nor Priority Club amenities upon check-in. Front desk clerk failed to note our request to stay an extra day in the hotel's system -- and we were locked out of our room one morning. No newspaper one morning -- though the manager DID promptly address/resolve the problem. Pricing was excessive for value received. Would not stay at this property again.
