Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Lack of a Fitness Center This location is old for a Holiday Inn Express. There is not a Fitness Center at this location. The rooms are starting to look old. However, the guy who was working the desk was GREAT. He was very customer oriented. He was very welcoming and friendly. He however did not acknowledge the Priority Club membership of platinum. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Sub Par Holiday Inn Express I am a Priority Club gold member and try to stay at Holiday Inn Express on my business travels. There is no workout room at this hotel. Check in was slow. I noticed late that there was no shampoo in my room. I called the front desk and was told they would bring it up. The front desk person brought me what looked like a used bottle of shampoo that was not even the same as the conditioner. Needless to say I did not want to share a shampoo bottle with what was obviously a used bottle of shampoo! My client also stayed with me and he got up to iron his shirt only to have the iron leave a nasty black plastic substance on his dress shirt. I came down to breakfast at 7:30. There was one biscuit left with some very cold gravy. I did not eat! My client was not impressed that I chose this hotel thinking it would be convenient to our meeting. I will not stay here again. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Terrible Stay I am a platinum member and was not up grade. The room was at the end of the hallway where you heard all of the guests coming and going up and down the staris. i was there on business in Newton, KS and Wellington, KS and thought this was a good location. Next time i will stay in Newton when visiting both locations. January 28, 2013
