The property was clean and conveniently located in the center of Amarillo. Unfortunately, I encountered several issues during my stay. Although the front desk staff were friendly, when I checked in they did not greet me as a rewards member so I had to ask if my points would be applied and for my welcome package. I then went up to my room, dragging all of my luggage, and my key did not work. I went back down to the lobby to report the problem, received another key which also did not work. The front desk personnel were very apologetic and did let me into my room with their master key but I had to go back to get a new room key the next day. Additionally, when I finally arrived inside my room, I realized that it appeared to be clean but did not have any toiletries and still had painters tape along portions of the bathroom ceiling. Once again, I had to contact the staff to receive items that simply should have been in my room. Again, the staff were friendly when I pointed out of the mistakes, but the fact is that I was tired after a long day of travelling and I have come to expect more out of the IHG brand of hotels. The headaches due to errors made by the staff are why I can only give this property an average rating.

Stopped in on way through from Denver, was glad to find available room on a Saturday night. Location was off the freeway so no road noise, close to local restaurants. Room was clean
