I booked this room because I had a long layover in Aruba and I wanted to spend some time on the beach and rest before my next flight. I wish I had more time to enjoy it. Loved the location on the beach. The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable. Nice swimming pool area. They have a strange way to reserve beach huts but since I was there for just a few hours I didn't really look into it. Service was good. I would definitely consider this property to stay longer in Aruba.

We stayed here for a week and it was truly a great experience. We had not been to Aruba for 10 years and the real estate has grown up all round the hotel, with many good places close by now. The staff is engaged with every guest from the time we checked in, stayed on the beach, got drinks and food at our cabana, played games for prizes with other guests in the afternoon by the pools, ate breakfast and lunch in their restaurants, used the gift shops, parking lot for our rental car, played at the casino and overall enjoyed the resort and all that it had to offer, The room was very nice, clean and good TV channels, The only thing I would change is the way the beach cabanas and chairs were awarded every day. To go and get a number at 9:30 am and then wait for that number to be called at 4 pm to choose a cabana is cumbersome. There must be a better way to get one of these on the beach every day. We did not get the all inclusive package as we wanted to explore different restaurants every night, Overall this is a great property and is clean, well staffed and a pleasure to spend a vacation in paradise.

We have been coming to Aruba now for many years. We have stayed at different properties and high-end hotels. Our stay at Holiday Inn was definitely on par and in some ways exceeded those hotels. We chose this location based on value and other customer reviews. As we were approaching the hotel I was not impressed with the exterior look of the property or balconies and became a little afraid of what we might encounter. However my opinion quickly changed. The open air lobby and entrance are very nice. Beyond the hotel lobby they have an area with gazebos and wicker furniture and hammocks. There is a coffee bar and bar in the lobby and a little mini mall off the lobby. From the moment we drove up to the front of the hotel the staff was very accommodating. Our check-in experience with Alejandra was very efficient and pleasant. They have ice cold citrus water in the lobby all day and it is constantly replenished. That was a great feature especially because it was so hot and my husband and I took full advantage of that cold water. The hotel staff was great and very friendly. Whenever we walked through the lobby if they were not busy assisting other guests they would take the time to look up from what they were doing and greet us. This is especially true of the 2 gentlemen who cover the desk at night. Didn’t get their name but remember their smiling faces. Our room was clean and while not very fancy the bedding and furniture are modern and nice. We had an oceanfront room in the Palm Tower and the view was great. What my husband and I noticed throughout our stay was the cleanness of the property and the staff that was constantly maintaining the property. I would personally like to give thanks to those individuals because they are the unseen and underappreciated individuals who keep the property so beautiful and clean. The Coral Reef buffet breakfast was delicious. It is a full buffet with an omelet station and many food choices which changed from day to day. If there are any complaints it would be that the balcony furniture is not comfortable at all. That was disappointing since I enjoy sitting and sleeping on the balcony. Also there is no microwave in the room. There is a refrigerator but if you go out to eat and want to bring food home or purchase small convenience items to keep in the room, there is no way to warm it up. Also the room we stayed in was on the 2nd floor of the Palm Tower and they were renovating the kids club located below us so there was noise everyday which was upsetting to me because the purpose of our trip was purely for rest and relaxation so to hear banging, drilling, and noise from the workers was not good. I think we should have been told about the renovation so that we could have chosen to be given a different room. We arrived on Sunday and the work noise did not begin until Monday so we had no way of knowing this would be happening and since we were already settled in we did not want to change rooms. The food is ok but somewhat overpriced. However, as mentioned, the breakfast is a good deal and the lobby bar makes a great mango mojito but it’s pricey. They do have a happy hour from 4-6 at the restaurant on the beach. Bottom line is this hotel was an unexpected and undiscovered gem for us. Holiday Inn has definitely upgraded their image and properties. We took a look at the Holiday Inn in Aruba because of the unexpected experience we had while staying at a Holiday Inn in Delaware. Holiday Inn would not usually be on our list of hotels when looking for a hotel because we usually look at higher end branded hotels. However, we are so glad we did not allow our preconceptions to cause us to overlook this hidden gem of a hotel. As I said we travel to Aruba at least once and sometimes more per year and we have friends who travel to Aruba as well. Glad we tried it and will be returning and this will be one of the hotels on the top of our list. And we’re telling all our friends about it which is the highest compliment we can give. Greetings from Aruba, One Happy Island.
