Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Alex J.S. Wonderful experience during my very long-term stay!
I had to stay here for almost 5 months and almost miss being there! The staff is amazingly friendly and do their best to make you feel right at home, not just a guest. They made efforts to know my name/room number without asking and predict my needs. The room servicing was always spot-on! They cleaned well (both in my room and the common areas) and I felt perfectly fine with leaving things "out" because they would not disturb anything that belong to me, other than to clean under/around it. They even folded the blankets I brought from home to use on the couch/recliner! I always felt safe and comfortable during my stay and I will stay here any time I am in Austin again, no matter how long the visit. The complimentary laundry was a benefit all it's own and I utilized quite often. It was good-quality machines and I rarely found myself without a washer or dryer available. And the beds! Oh man are they comfortable. Especially the sheets and pillows. I never felt like I was sleeping in a hotel bed. I could seriously go on forever about how much I enjoyed my stay, but I will stop. Just know that this is a prime spot to stay if you appreciate comfort and warm welcomes!

Clean comfortable room. Excellent Internet. Loved the Kitchen and work spaces. The only thing missing was a real continental breakfast or onsite restaurant.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by JonathanA1957 Candlewood Suites Austin South
Hotel rooms in Austin are a bit pricey and Candlewood was about the least expensive I found. The room was clean and the two rooms were spacious. Decor was very nondescript, though the room was in good condition, which is surprising since housekeeping services are offered only once a week or when the room is vacated.
Beds were comfortable and my daughter didn't complain about the fold out couch
The location is between both COTA and downtown Austin, but not near anything in particular.
This is a very functional hotel and compared to other local hotels it appears to offer good value. Although there is a small range, microwave and fridge, there are no pots and pans. Still it would be a good location for an extended stay. Just don't expect the lap of luxury or an on site restaurant.

Everything was fine at the hotel except the carpets in the room needed to be cleaned.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by JimmyJo33 good hotel in a pinch
This was my first time in a Candlewood hotel. This hotel had nice rooms. Kitchenett frig. only gave me 7-ice cubes in 1-hour. No ice in hotel!! Had to drive to buy a bag of ice!!! Really!!! It was disappointing to not have a breakfast available! There hotel shop did not have anything healthy to eat, only junk.....
