Rated 3,0 out of 5,0 by Bet234 Fire alarm wasn't good
The room was comfortable and the bed was great. I wish they had told us that housekeeping doesn't come but once a week. I didn't like having to take a laundry basket to the front desk with dirty towels in it to get clean ones. The fire alarm going off at 230 in the morning was a definite eye opener. Overall it was good. They have a DVD lending library which was great as I was on a school trip with high school students. You should include hot chocolate for those of us that don't drink coffee or hot tea.

Rated 2,0 out of 5,0 by Hornsfan To nice of a hotel to have SUB-PAR amenities
Recently stayed at Candlewood Suites in Fort Stockton Tx while in town on business. Exterior of this hotel looked fabulous. Once in my room, my perspective changed quickly. First of all, I enjoy being able to set the temp of MY ROOM however I choose. The thermostat does not allow you to adjust your room temp. It's preset. Needless to say , my room was stuffy and seemed as if A/C (when it did come on) was blowing very moist air. Which caused bedding and everything else to feel damp. Second issue, the TV is a joke !! Why have the flat screen HD TVs WITH NO HD CABLE SERVICE ???? The screen was so blurry it was hard to read words on the screen. The local NBC channel would phase out every couple of minutes and become nothing but static. Very aggravating while trying to unwind and watch TV to relax in the evening. The mini-recliners in the room will NOT unfold most of the time while trying to extend the footrest.
Front desk attendants told me there was nothing that could be done about the inadequate air conditioning and very very poor quality TV service. Therefore , I will never stay in this hotel or recommend it to anyone in the future. I have been a loyal IHG Hotel patron for the past 7 years and have come to expect better from IHG than what Candlewood Suites in Fort Stockton displays !
