Good . 4 Stars. Call me about my points. I live in the Candlewood at Mount Pleasant Texas since 6/14/2015. I Love my first floor room with 12 foot ceilings. You need to incrementally accumulate my points. If I stay in the Candlewood until 5/2016, I will have wanted to use my rewards for business or pleasure free nights stay long before I check out of the Mount Pleasant Candlewood. Even if I stay at another Candlewood and get a few points. What about this?

Not good. Did not get the room that I had wanted. Moved to another room which was not much better..had black mold on the celling in the bathroom. Was thinking about staying here two weeks of every month.. but that will not happen as the manager of this place does not seem to care about issues a customer is having!

The hotel room was very clean. Check in was easy. I didn't use the additional amenities on site. The outside area was nice to use even in the hot summer heat. There was shade and a nice breeze. I worked outside at the tables. There were electrical outlets and I had access to the internet. My only complaint was the musty smell. I have allergies and am sensitive to smells. I noticed the smell when I walked through the front door and it was stronger in my room. I've been forewarned in the area by the water that I would find hotels with this type of odor. It was a little more than I could take.

Poor maid service
Room smelled damp & musty
Bed mattress old & squeeky springs
Only stayed 1 night, left early
Toilet was not clean, previous guest feces in toilet

This might be a good hotel for someone staying weekly for multiple weeks.
For someone who is going to be staying a short time, well as another guest told me in the lobby its not a holiday inn. I was there for two days and they didn't service my room. although I didn't feel like complaining the second night as I was done in. so they may of not known. I did get my wake up call but had to track down the clerk for my receipt.
the staff seemed like they were put out all the time so I tried not to interact with them.
I cancelled my reservations for an upcoming trip and moved to a local Holiday Inn express.

Nice place, clean facilities and nice staff. I usually arrive late - I called ahead, very simple and quick check-in.

The guest service was great. T he area was good you had a lot of ammenties in the area. And it is easy access to nearby streets.
