I waited a LONG time to get picked up at ORD by the hotel shuttle van. While I waited other hotel shuttles came and left multiple time, including other IHG properties like Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express shuttles. When I arrived I asked for a wake up call but did NOT get one so over slept. This was o.k. as my flight was late in the day, but if it were earlier in the day I would have missed it. The suite looked really good at first, but the bed springs were loud and the refrigerator motor was also extremely loud. For a long term stay business person the suite would be very good as it was large and had a lot of work space. But for someone who just needed a good night's sleep while connecting through ORD it wasn't the best choice.

great place to stay for a park and fly out of ohare. Clean and updated rooms. We did have to wait 25 min for the shuttle to pick us up from the airport upon our return, but leaving the hotel to get to the airport was quick.

My entire experience at this hotel - while brief - was extremely positive. My flight was cancelled out of ORD, so I needed a hotel on short notice, when hundreds of other people needed them too. After calling another IHG property and losing the last room by 2 minutes, the friendly reservations agent informed me the Candlewood Suites had availability. I booked the room and made my way to the bus/shuttle center, where the hotel van was waiting. Direct trip to the hotel, where Christian checked me in promptly and courteously. In the morning, I waited at most two minutes for the van to arrive, then off to the airport again to resume travel. This hotel completely met my needs, and I may intentionally stay here when my travel again takes me to the O'Hare area.
