Room - Equipment: The first room assigned was too loud because of some kind of generator in use next to the room; the second room given to us was not fully equipped, a table a chairs were missing and were provided only afterwards upon request; in the second room temperature control of shower and bath tub didn't work properly at first.
Room - Noise: The walls to the neighboring rooms are very thin (obviously no brick walls) which is why talks and laughter could be heard through the walls; this made it impossible to sleep the night with neighbors coming back to the hotel only early in the morning.
Availability of staff: The 'Instant service' button on the phone in the room did work, but no one could be reached especially in the morning when the noise from the room next to us was too loud.
Service at the bar: I asked for a cappuccino at 10 AM in the morning, but was told that the bar isn't opened yet and I need to go to the breakfast area and ask for a cappuccino there; strangely at the same time a couple of other people were sitting in the bar with some drinks and food which they might not taken with them from the breakfast area.
Internet connection: Internet connection was immediately cut off after paying although we still stayed at the hotel for some time to pack and have a last walk on the beach.
Luggage: We left our luggage with the concierge to pick it up later; when we came back to the hotel to pick up the luggage, the luggage was standing unattended next to the entrance door; anybody could have taken it away (we actually took it away without being noticed by the staff).
All in all I was very disappointed of the stay at the Carlton hotel.

L'hotel est splendide, le personnel impeccable, l'emplacement idéal.

We were given a terrible room at the back of the hotel, and it was in desperate need of a make-over/updating.
The hotel has very limited facilities, and everything is hugely expensive, even for Cannes.
Not impressed at all, and would not go back.

Проводили с мужем свадебное путешествие по случаю двадцатипятилетия супружеской жизни. Отель идеально подходит для таких торжественных и романтических поездок. Очень красивое здание отеля, прекрасный интерьер, огромная кровать с удивительно удобным матрасом и белоснежными подушками. Русские девушки на ресепшене, что не маловажно для моего несовершенного английского и полностью отсутствующего французского, удивительно улыбчивые работники службы парковки автомобилей (мы были на машине). Отдельно хочется отметить работу сотрудников отеля на завтраках и на пляже. Очень внимательные, быстрые и невероятно приветливые. Нам было хорошо здесь!

Reception did not upgrade my room and mention that hotel is full (even I'm Ambassador Gold Member).
Room was falling apart, AC not working properly, everything is very old.
When after 5 days hotel finally upgrade room, there was queen size bed (we are 2 adults 185cm height). When we requested normal bed, as we can not sleep normally, reception told us only sorry.
In general, it was our the most terrible stay ever.

The experience with Carlton Intercontinental was simply something that will always bring smile to my lips. However, this comes with a price tag. As the saying goes, "You get what you pay for".
