It seems that every stay at this property is better than the last. This is a team that understands every nuance of the words 'service' and 'commitment to excellence' I commend the management team for hiring to, training and instilling such a high level of service and pride in the duties of each staff member. Well done!
I'll be back again and again!

hongkong was the last station on a trip around the far east for us - so there were quite a few properties the grand stanford had to 'compete' with as our experiences around cambodia and vietnam were still fresh in our minds.
being an ambassador one expects a certain welcome from a hotel in the IHG group - even during busy times #and no doubt the hotel was very busy over the new year period#. all hotels on our trip were in the same position: close to capacity - the only hotel who made us feel that we just one of many guests going through and that we better harry along was the grand stanford. no welcoming gift #other than a discount voucher for a local duty free store#, no explanation of the room, no acknowledgement that an automatic up-grade is not possible, the promised discount on laundry was not reflected on the bill #and we paid for laundry in full#; the list could go on.
the only redeeming feature for the hotel was the club room staff, who under trying circumstances #the hotel being full - and therefore the club room being quite busy# always made us feel welcome.
we could have been at any hotel in hongkong - other than the clubroom staff we did not feel 'special' or as a 'treasured guest' at all - not a grand experience

Very good location, spacious rooms comparing to HK hotels, high quality amenities, helpful staff... Another memorable Intercontinental experience.. Thank you for helping my family trip to HK one of the best ever...

Stayed at the Intercontinental for two nights and had a super stay. Was upgraded to a Junior Suite with stunning views of the harbor. Every staff is so welcoming and friendly and I felt like home after a short while at the Club Lounge. I'm a Spa lover and I had countless treatments in the finest hotels all over the world but the body massage I received from Nicole was the Best one I've ever had in my life.
I made a comment to the room maid that I would need some more water in the night and it was promptly delivered. Faultless Hotel - will definitly stay there again.

A lot of people may not be aware after you stay at the Intercon properties in Hong Kong especially Grand Stanford you will realize this is how an Intercon experience should be. Friendly and Helpful staff who do not seem to act like they are trying too hard quite professional.
Although, the Hotel in general if a bit dated and the elevators can be quite busy at times the software wins over and adds the finishing touches to the stay. Especially if you are able to drop by the Executive Lounge where they have experienced staff working there unlike having a bunch of interns who may or may not know what they are doing. This seems to be the trend at InterCon properties in China.
All in all it's my second home in Hong Kong.
