Love the location of this hotel. The rooms are comfortable, although our room didn't get much of natural light this time (looked onto a narrow court). The staff is excellent, especially, the concierge, Alfredo.
The bed is very comfortable, so we slept really well. The only complaint I would have is about the noise insulation of the room. It happened that we woke up to a noise from a neighbouring room.
The breakfast is very nice, although bit overpriced, in my opinion.
Overall, we had a very nice stay and probably return some times soon.

The InterContinental Madrid is a wonderful palace hotel with the most beautiful marble I have ever seen,
from reception to every corridor and every room.
The hotel, located on Castellana and near Serrano, breathes pure luxury from the moment one walks in.
The staff is so very kind and thoughtful.
Congratulations to Marta and Laura of the Club Lounge who make you feel so very welcome and who pay
attention to all clients’ - often very demanding - needs.
Also a warm thank you to all-round Eva who does her job to perfection and seems to notice every detail.
What a busy bee she is.
I can’t wait to return to my favourite hotel in Madrid !

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by AW831 Excellent launch facilities
Excellent launch with great food and beverage. Good location- a few minute walk to metro and easily assessable to the train stations.
Special compliment to the housekeeping on our last night of stay who didn't separate the twin beds that we had combined together. What's more, a mattress was added on top of the twin beds under a double bed sheet. Really thanks for this value added move.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Callista Best Concierge in Spain!!!
Perfect Location. 30 minute walk to Prado or short taxi. The hotel serves an amazing breakfast. You can eat like a king, then not eat again until dinner. Alfredo the concierge as well as his staff, really helped me plan out the time we were there. I did not plan ahead for Madrid as it was the end of the Spain trip and he really did a great job. I do not recommend the city bus. It is poorly run in comparison to all others I have done. Our TV did not work for 2 days, however, when I called they sent a tech up right away. Shopping in the area is high end with some small unique Spanish shops thrown in. We spent 4 nights there. Our room was perfect for Mom and daughter. Bathroom had a tub and 2 sinks which I loved. I was kind of desperate for a bath. Our other hotels only had showers.
I loved coming back to the solitude of the hotel after the hustle and bustle of the city. The quiet energy was so welcoming and of course I had to spend time with Alfredo to plan out my next day. If you like to walk you can virtually walk anywhere in the city.
I didn't like this hotel, I loved it.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by PatinVirginia GREAT LOCATION AND STAFF
Staff is very friendly and efficient. If there is a problem, they resolve it immediately. Classic, beautiful hotel. The Salamanca location is the best, beautiful neighborhood with many upscale shops and good museums. Good metro and bus stops nearby. Will be our choice when visiting Madrid.
