Really enjoyed my stay in Adelaide at the Intercontinental. All staff were very professional, accomodating, and polite. The room was very comfortable and the food was superb.

I think breakfast should have been included in the cost of the room. We paid separately and would say that the choice was limited at the breakfast buffet an was not really value for money.
In the room, the coffee making facilities was not up to the mark. Milk was not available and so had to ring and get it. There was no chocolate drink available. It was either coffee or tea.

We enjoyed spending Australia Day in the city, close to all of the action and even watched the fireworks close up from the hotel pool deck, it was stunning. All of the staff were very friendly and more than accommodating to our needs especially with our young child. Looking forward to our next stay

Hotel is in a good location, close to station, shops, restaurants and park. Pool area was good but would be greatly enhanced with an outdoor bar. TV was in an awkward position in the room to watch from bed. There was also an unusual gap in the bathroom door - saloon style doors rather than a regular door. Just things that could be improved, but overall we had a lovely stay, and the staff were super friendly and helpful and would definately reccomend.

My wife & I enjoyed the Intercontinental Adelaide, the staff were extremely helpful & welcoming. The room was very nice & clean & in a good position in the building.
The only negative was the restaurant was disappointing & the Japanese restaurant was closed for refurbishment.
Otherwise all good.

Our second stay at Intercontinental Adelaide, and would happily return. We stayed on the Club level and enjoyed the complementary canapes and drinks each afternoon. The staff were helpful, mostly attentive and all pleasant.
The hotel is well-located, allowing us to walk to nearby attractions and to collect a car rental from across the road.
We visited Adelaide a week after record high temperatures and wonder if this contributed to sometimes too-cold airconditioning. Admittedly the spaces are 'big' and difficult to cool, but some days it was uncomfortably cool in the shared guest areas.
Apart from this, our stay was most enjoyable.

Always stay here when in Adelaide usually about 3 to 4 times a year. The staff confusion with the bedding configuration, length of stay and number of rooms, was endless even though I had clarified it with an enquiry prior to arriving. A number of conversations with staff. But no one was listening. That's sad. Upon arrival the configuration and booking was still incorrect. Yes you were busy. Yes you forgot. Not the standard form the Intercontinental I'm use to. Was not just one person I dealt with but a several and each time I was assured they had it correct. I will stay there again as everyone deserves the chance to get it right and I hope service is back to the norm. Will say that the Valet Parking guys are SUPERB. a welcome sight after a long and not so good day. The right balance of professionalism encompassing courtesy, with a pleasant tone and manner. Always feel like they are wanting to help without being over the top. Well done again gentlemen. Looking forward to my next stay.

I must complement the staff in all areas of the hotel, especially the club room staff, a real credit to themselves and great ambassadors to the Intercontinental Hotel. fantastic service, very friendly & helpful. Made you feel very welcome.

Excellent hotel for Special occations with everything on hand to make life easy and allow you to endulge in your reason for being there, like birthdays, annerversaries and tennis. The main reasons we were at the hotel this time.
The Priority Club on the 21st is a marveolus way to relax and enjoy, in between your various arrangements arround town.
Thanks for every thing during our stay. Magic.

I visit Adelaide alot and I have stayed in a number of hotels there. The Intercontinental has the best staff, service and comfort of all of them, and great value at the corporate rate. My search for a quality hotel in Adelaide is over.

Lovely property with great staff which made our 7 day holiday a memorable one.
New Years Eve was fantastic with the best view of the fireworks display in town.
Concierge was brilliant as was all the staff.

The rooms are tired need refurnishing very cramped especially wardrobe bathe room entrance Dinner was terrible considering price Pork was so dry had to have a drink with eahc mouth full Certainly hd a lot of sea food but all other categories of hot food was terribly lacking

Staff were exceptional & highlighted by Angela @ Check In , Maxim who handles luggage , etc , Rebecca in the Club Lounge & Anna in the Riverside Restaurant ...
Our room was marvellous , the offer in the Club Lounge was excellent & possibly as good as, if not better than, any in Australian Hotels we've experienced , breakfast , daytime & evening
We thoroughly also enjoyed dinner in the Japanese Restaurant as well as in Riverside.
Congratulations on reaching the very high standards you have , an absolute pleasure to stay there !!!

my wife and I had a tuff year so we decided to do something just for us this Xmas. we are so glad to have picked a venue as good as this, the staff and facilities made homely and a joy to be apart off. the room was clean and very open we had a great view of the river and Adelaide oval. the meals were very nice with staff adding that Xmas feel to the dining experience.

We had another excellent weekend at the Intercontinental Adelaide. The suite was spacious, comfortable and good value. The only negative aspect was the unavailability of Australian beer in the club lounge, which has never happened before.

I was in Adelaide Australia for business and couldn't have been more pleased with my experience at the Intercontinental hotel. From the moment that I walked into the hotel, I was met with excellent service. The hotel was very clean and the staff very friendly.
The best part of the hotel was the staff at the Club Lounge on the 21st floor. They were very friendly and went out of their way to make me feel at home. They made me feel very welcome there and I will definitely stay at the Intercontinental Adelaide If I ever return to Adelaide.

Pros: central location allow access to many good place around Adelaide CBD. Staff are good, Riverside dinner foods and services are good excepted for the breakfast foods range was limited and over cooked scrambles eggs. Car parking was expensive and at time congested particularly around 1pm to 4 pm. Not enough rack space in the bathroom to hang the towels and bench space or the toletories

I spent two working weeks at the Intercontinental in Adelaide. On a visit that long you need something special; this was. In particular, the restaurant staff were brilliant and friendly. It is in a very convenient location and if you get the right rooms the views are stunning. Great place, great time.

This was my first time to ADL. The hotel building itself wasn't very impressive but the room size and comfortableness was very good. Staff was very friend while checking-in, answering my inquiries and checking-out.
Free internet should be provided at least in the lobby though like most of the hotels do now.

We stayed at the Intercontinental for the third time having enjoyed previous stays. We have been a member of the Priority Club for some years and decided to join the Ambassador Club which entitles guests to a guaranteed free upgrade on arrival. We did not receive an upgrade on our first stay and didn't realise this until we checked in a week later and received the same room type (I knew one of the two stays would be in a higher category room but had forgotten which stay). The young receptionist who assisted with my check in needs more training in customer service. I realise there are procedures hotels must follow but when it gets to the point that the hotel's first point of contact makes you feel extremely uncomfortable I wonder who is overseeing these people. Her smile was one of those "I'm only smiling because I have been taught the customer is right" type of smiles, she really had no idea what I was asking of her, there was no attempt to follow up on a rather simple question I had despite giving her the paperwork to substantiate my query and I can only presume the paperwork went in the bin when my back was turned as there was no followup from the Guest Relations Dept.
Be very careful who you select to be at the forefront of your business ... this young lady should still be a trainee under constant supervision and at the very least know what to do when situations like this arise in the future. Shame she has let her team mates down in this instance.

stayed for the weekend on check in room upgrade not available.
Offered Club floor for breakfast and pre dinner drinks cost of $80.00 thinking this was 2 nights as it was not explaned it was $80.00 each night.
On check out questioned the charge to b told it was $80 per day disappointing.

Overall experience was excellent, however I found that the Concierge luck friendliness. When I got dropped off by a friend, what I got was a stare not a welcome or can I assist.
Aside from that, reception was friendly, room is clean, and comfortable.

My husband and I spent our wedding anniversary with you and were treated extremely well and were made to feel important. We were given the option to pay for a room upgrade and I was so glad we took it. Had a marvelous view in an exceptional room.
We were even left a gift from the hotel for our special occasion.
Will definitely stay again and recommend to others.
