As an Ambassador Club member, my friend and I regularly stay at the Intercontinental Adelaide. The position is fantastic, staff always courteous and helpful and amenities are high quality. The Club Lounge offers excellent comfort and value. Can't wait to return.

It is special to be able to relax with the touches of luxury and glamour this hotel offers.
Beautiful views, comfortable bed, plush towels and the room is refreshed each day with fresh linen etc if desired, and at a time to suit!.
One night we dined in our room and the sunset was amazing and the "silver" service meal was excellent too. So relaxing.
We swam in the pool, drank champagne in the lounge, and time was our own. The Art Gallery, a little shopping and picturesque strolls are all nearby.
We really appreciate these occasions to spend time as a couple without the pressure of daily life.
We all need some magic times in our lives.

I had a work function at the hotel on a Friday night and it was more convenient to get ready there. The staff were unbelievably friendly and helpful throughout the hotel; concierge, reception & for our event.
The room was nice & clean, bed was comfortable. The only disappointing thing was the food was not very good at our event, which was very unexpected. Hoping it was just a one-off as the rest of our experience at the hotel was great.

Stayed 3 nights :
- our room was at 19th floor, it provided a fabulous view overlooking from Casino to Torrens River.
- Nice & helpful concierge staff we had ever experienced.
- Best location with Adelaide City attractions closed by.
- Had dinner at one of the restaurant in the hotel. Steaks which we ordered were chewy, fly stayed around our table. the worst meal we ever had.

This was my first trip to Adelaide and I booked for my accommodation through the Intercontinental Adelaide as they were having a 20% Summer savings deal. Not knowing what to expect, I was pleasantly surprised from the second I walked through the front doors.
The service provided was impeccable from the doormen, reception and housekeeping staff! Our room was a Deluxe King located on the 18th floor, providing us with views of the river and the entertainment centre.
Being an avid gym goer, my partner was suitably impressed by the gym facilities whereas I was more inclined to lounge by the poolside.
The complimentary buffet breakfast that was inclusive for all 3 days of our stay satisfied us in the utmost way, leaving us full until dinner time. The one night we stayed in and ordered room service was excellent - from the well-heated and enormous portions of meals to the quality of the food and politeness of the staff who took our order.
The only surprise we received was an early morning wake-up call when the concierge physically entered our room! I am assuming that he confused our room with one of the many of a tour group who happened to be residing on the same floor but I still think it is rather unusual practice to enter a guest's room instead of calling?
Other than the one tiny mishap, it was a thoroughly enjoyable stay and I will definitely be staying here again if I revisit Adelaide!

I was hardly able to fall a sleep due to the noise from the elevator nearby. My room was John Flynn Suite and it was quite nice but at night I found that the regular noise from the elevator annoyed me. I think the management of the hotel must take it seriously!

A friend and i stayed at the Adelaide Intercontinental hotel last Friday night 15.02.13, and had such a perfect wind down night for a busy week full of work work and work. The staff were extremely friendly, geniune and helpful. Even when walking down the corridor we stopped a a staff member to ask a question and they were helpful and friendly and really nice. The room was so comfortable, peaceful and had such a relaxing vibe. Dinner at Shiki was amazing yet again, one of my favourite restaurants main reason being delicious fresh food, and incredibly friendly staff. Buffet breakfast was so pleasant and made my morning happy due to once again the friendly and attentive staff, pleasant atmosphere and yummy food. When checking out i asked a staff member what happens to all the left over food from the buffet and i was advised that the food that doesnt go off either gets given to staff for lunches or gets donated to an organisation. This really made me happy and was a great end to my stay at the hotel. Nothing worse then wasting and chucking out all that yummy food, so this was music to my hears when i heard it gets donated and not wasted.

What a wonderful stay we had. The concierge team were simply gorgeous to all of us, under pressure too as there were a lot of cars pulling in for check-in. This truly helped to make us feel special at the start of our stay. The reception team were warm, caring and so genuine - a pleasure to check in and out with. Then the easy lift access to our rooms was brilliant (plenty of lifts and no delays in such a busy hotel - was fantastc!!). The rooms we stayed in were beautiful - Clean, great views, comfortable, inviting, relaxing. Club Lounge ambience, food and service was wonderful. The team working in there give the absolute best service and make you feel very special. House keeping staff were so friendly and interactive - very helpful if you were unsure about anything. We can't stop talking about the wonderful time that we had - thank you!

This hotel is a great business and/or holiday destination in Adelaide. We enjoyed Hills views from our supurbly appointed room, the tasteful charm of the public areas, and friendly, knowledgable staff.
Attention was given always to good service in a timely fashion and the Club Lounge a comfortable oasis staffed by the most charming people.

Excellent room on 21 floor. The staff in the executive lounge were also excellent, providing wonderful customer service, especially as I am on a gluten free diet.
Only negative was not being able to use my Priority Privilege card at lunch and dinner (Shiki).

We travelled to Adelaide as part of our priority privilege program. Two days in a cluB room. Overal the experience was a positive one with the room and service terrific.
Our last nighT we had dinner in the restaurant downstairs which turned out to be a souring of the two days away. Service was good but the food below par and below the costs. Our seafood platter was over cooked, with a heavy batter - no better than a local fish and chips takeout. The akin was even more disappointing with the steak moderately warm at best. The staff tired hard but the restaurant is simply not up to scratch and does little to enhance the status of the hotel.
That aside we did enjoy our two days in Adelaide .

Our jet lag coming back from overseas was gone in the couple of days we had with your hotel as we were very relaxed and comfortable. Your staff are very pleasant and knowledgeable and the comfort of your hotel was the best in our stay before we went overseas and when we arrived back. Your hotel service, resturant, bar service and valet service were immpecaable and we will stay at your hotel anywhere within Australia and the world over from now on.

From check in to check out service was excellent. The room was clean, comfortable and well serviced.
The Club lounge was a treat, the service, food and ambience was excellent. The staff made sure you wanted for nothing.
The only downer was the Riverside Restaurant. It appeared tired and neglected. The food was mediocre and not up to th standard of an Intercontinental. The only place in the hotel that the staff were not 100%.

My recent stay of two nights found me very disappointed with the property and rooms. The hotel is in much need of a complete revamp. The rooms are tired and definitely not of a 5 star standard and the foyer is dark and depressing. I asked management to view an upgraded room and it wasn't much better. Considered checking out as there was NO service recovery for our disappointment.

It was disappointing that the pool was out of action for our entire stay, particularly at the peak of summer with above average temperatures. The offer of the Crowne Plaza was not practical.

A very enjoyable stay.
staff were very friendly and approachable.
Not like the usual hotels rated 5 star, they make you feel comfortable as soon as you step into thier establishement..
Room was comfortable and the view was beautiful (19th floor)
Highly recommend if you want a relaxing stay awayfrom your normal routine. enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere.
Only thing I would recommend is a beauty bar that can be used on the face as the soap is to harsh.
Looking forward to our next stay during the year.

My husband & I stayed at the Intercontinental Adelaide 3 times in 2012 and we throughly can recommend the experience, hence the reason for our repeat stays, the Hotel has great staff, customer service is very high and we very much appreciate this as you don't get it everywhere you go.
Their rooms are spacious & serviced exceptionally well & in our case the king beds very comfy..room prices reflect the type of stay you are looking for & the floor you are on. Each of our stays have been on various levels of the hotel & in all cases we had great views from our window, our lastest stay was on the 19th floor & we had spectagular views of the New Year Eve Fire works over the River Torrens...
We highly recomend & the Hotel location is perfect for walking & seeing the CBD.

The best experience we always get in Intercontinental Adelaide is the Club.
But things change when you go the Lobby.
After 9 pm in the bar area the orchestra, and especially the singer (someone called him the "screamer"). It was very funny to see him every now and then looking at his audience, he would move to the electronic sound control and turn it up, and up...
Leaving next day we asked what day is the buffet at the Riverside. The reply we got shocked us. "Never again. we stopped it".
This hotel had a reputation regarding the buffet. You would not be able to be accommodated if you did not have a booking - from Wednesday night to Sunday... The decline came about a year after Intercontinental took over, They managed very well to destroy the beautiful atmosphere in the restaurant.
Unfortunately, we just renewed membership, just before they stopped completely the buffet!!!

We recently stayed at hotel in club floor. The rooms very comfortable, beds great, views terrific. We really enjoyed our stay and the concierge organised a great mclaren vale winery tour with life is a Cabernet which was terrific. Highly recommend. Japanese restaurant great too!

The location is perfect the staff are exceptional and the rooms and views outstanding. I have been to many many Intercontinental hotels worldwide and I must admit that this one is still my favourite.

Unfortunately our enjoyable stay was ruined by a very rude and abrupt manager.
Checking in after 2pm (as per instructions) one of the guests rooms was not ready. So they had to wait for that.
The rooms were lovely and accommodating to fit a child, the staff at the wedding function were very attentive to our needs and were very efficient and respectful.
Upon check out however, a whole different story. The same manager who checked us in was very rude and arrogant. Throwing accusations to us, the customer and wanting to charge more when it wasn't appropriate to. Staff at the front reception counter could be a little better equipped with customer service experience. Very disappointing to know that a luxury hotel treats guests from it's own city this way. Can't imagine how interstate/overseas guests are treated!!
Would I recommend this hotel???? based on the way we were treated for the amount of money we spent there - NO I would not recommend this hotel.

Thank you for the special touch you have added to our honeymoon stay. After a great day at our wedding ceremony and reception, we drove to Intercontinental Adelaide, was greeted by staff with excellent service, flowers and champagne. Thank you also for the cheerful valet parking staff who helped us with our camera and sent it to the room.
Room service was great and food delicious.
During check-out, we were confused about the payment invoice which required us to pay extra as we thought we paid the full amount at booking, we checked with the staff at the counter, he helped us solved it very quickly and efficiently. Thank you no hussle at all.
Thank you, Intercontinental for letting us have such a wonderful memorable experience for our honeymoon.
