Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by An Epiphany Having last stayed at the hotel approximately 20 years ago, I reserved a room there recently with some apprehension. Suffice it to say that I was greatly impressed in every way by my experience: all staff were courteous, efficient and friendly; the choice of restaurants was incomparable; and the room was exceptionally clean, comfortable and well appointed. Unlike many hotels in Amman, the Intercontinental is in close walking distance of many restaurants and other attractions. Based on my experience, the Intercon Jordan has become my hotel of choice in Amman. 02 October 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great welcome and service I have used the intercontinental Amman several times for business trips. The hotel is ideally located and the level of comfort is very good. During my last stay, I was originally assigned a smoking room even though I had requested non smoking. After visiting the room, I went back to the front desk and the agent that received (Sami I think) was very helpful and immediately changed my room and upgraded me to a higher level. I've always had a very positive experience in this hotel 15 September 2014

The Ambassador program is quite rewarding and the staff go out of their way. Haidar is always there to ensure my every need is met and the staff on the 8th floor, especially Lana, Nada, Aldi, Hasan, and Hassan are exceptional. 10 September 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Einfach super Ich persönlich übernachte ganz gerne im Interncontinental, da ich, gerade im Vergleich zu anderen internationalen Hotelketten, das Personal im Intercontinental einfach eine Spur besser und aufmerksamer empfinde. Dabei habe ich persönlich das Gefühl "zu Hause" zu sein, gerade auch durch den hohen Wiedererkennungswert im Bezug zu Zimmer(größen und Ausstattung). Das ist in den anderen Hotelketten auch gegeben allerdings finde ich dort oft mehr Schwankungen, je nach Region, die ich bei Interconti in der form noch nie hatte. Mein ganz großes Lob auch an Restaurant und Personal. Man bekommt hier echt super libanesiches Essen. Mein kleines Highlight war beim Frühstück, dort hat die Bedienung mit dem Servieren meines Kaffes extra gewartet, bis ich mich am Buffet fertig bedient hatte...Respekt, denn dadurch war mein arabischer Kaffee noch schön heiss und frisch! Solche (auch) Kleinigkeiten machen für mich den Unterschied. Die Lage des Hotel ist m.E. auch sehr gut. 09 September 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by New vs Old The Intercon has awesome Staff….I think one of the best in Amman. But the hotel has an "old side" vs a new wing. The old wing is still in the 80s at best… they have updated some of the rooms but if you are a non-smoker and get booked in the old wing even the updated rooms smell of smoke. The hotel is over fifty years old and the smoke smell seems to be embedded in the walls. If you are sensitive to smoke smell book on the new wing only…they do let smokers in the that wing, unfortunately, but it is much newer so the smoke smell hasn't embedded yet and they have non-smoking floors and rooms. 06 September 2014

As a gold ambassador, I was upgraded to a suite with a living room and extra half bath; it was fabulous, as was the service. Enjoyed food and beverages in the executive lounge each evening from 6 - 8 p.m. Overall, a wonderful choice for a "home away from home" when visiting Amman. 04 September 2014

I have been using this hotel for all my business trips in amman but I have to say that it is really difficult to sleep during the night due to the wedding parties noise. There is a wedding every night and if not there is the live band from the restaurant. Last time I have asked for a quire nn smoking room and I have been given a disable room in a smoking wing. Not impressed at all for the facilities of the room that are perfectly in line with a disable, s needs but not with a nn disable person ( no armchair, bathroom with no shower screen and the basin has just a sink with no area where to put toiletries). I think my next trip I will try the Hyatt. KR, Antonio 25 August 2014
