Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Helpful but also hopeful Generous amounts of staff, but not always available to guests (they seem to huddle in groups of up to six to confer on…something). One or two who are overly attentive. What one wants is just presence, but not interference. As I've reported many times to the management, the choice of international newspapers, etc. on the Club Floor leaves much to be desired. As I told them, their counterpart in Dubai has British, French and American newspapers easily available. Very hard in Amman. But the biggest hiccup, where one can only say that they're hopeful, is the uneven and intrusive Wifi access provided. It can require several log-ons in a single day. And it can result in windows of hotel adverts (to get a new reservation, which is unnecessary, right? at this point) that disrupt use of a laptop or whatever. You're typing an e-mail or something, and up pops an IHG ad window. Not pleasant at all. 22 November 2013

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Overpriced and very disappointing that no breakfast or wifi was included in the high price. We travelled in Jordan for a week and this was the only place where a sumptuous breakfast and wifi was not included. It was the most expensive hotel we stayed in during three weeks of travel. We found the staff at reception fairly clueless. While dinner at the Mexican restaurant was good, the guacamole obviously came from a package and my blended margharita contained several whole ice cubes. The laundry fees (just for washing and drying - not ironing) - were exhorbitant. The continental breakfast that we did purchase included not very fresh croissants and pastries and lukewarm cappucino (also extra). Altough the room was very clean and very comfortable, and the location good, I definitely would not go there again, nor would I recommend it. It is not a good value. 16 November 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Outstanding and Pleasurable Stay Stayed at this hotel using my IHG Rewards Club points last month and it made a very memorable experience by the professional and attentive service we received from every member of staff. As expected from InterContinental hotels, everything was great, the room was spacious, comfortable and with excellent view of the city. Location is perfect, a mere 1 or 2 JOD to the city centre. Gym/Spa facilities are great with a very inviting indoor and outdoor pool. Breakfast at the Club Lounge and Atrium restaurant was excellent, with a variety of dishes to suit everyones' taste. Staff at the Atrium restaurant were very welcoming, friendly and accommodating without being too familiar. Consider paying for an upgrade to a Club room with Club Lounge access. Sadly, complimentary access to the Club Lounge is only for Royal Ambassadors. It is the most spacious lounge that we have come across the InterContinental chain. Very tastefully decorated with a wonderful view of Amman, especially in the evenings. Lots of sofa's, and arm chairs to lounge around. Staff in the lounge were excellent, hard working who made us feel welcome throughout our stay. Only criticism about the lounge is the selection of hot snacks on offer, which became very repetitive after the fourth night. The selection of snacks could have been very much improved upon. Finger sandwiches on offer during afternoon tea were always dried up and with most uninspiring fillings. Aside from these, everything was perfect. Great hotel and wonderful staff. 11 November 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by very good from room to fitness, but a bit noisy (weddings, etc) + great fitness + great breakfast + nice room (but view not so great) + very good concierge + good restaurant + lively because of weddings etc - a bit noisy... because of weddings (music stops at 10 pm sharp, but after there are noises in the corridors until late... we were woken up at midnight then 2 am). 10 November 2013

The staff were really good, they helped me in the few situations where I needed some special assistance and they helped make my short stay a memorable one. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable. The food in the arabic restaurant was good, and the breakfast buffet was excellent. I will be back soon, I hope. If this is Jordanian hospitalty then I want more of it. 06 November 2013

Services and staff are fantastic and the location in the heart of Amman. Something else beautiful spirit to the seventies Oschartha the beauty of a contemporary. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Most Convenient Hotel Having experienced several 5-star hotels in Amman and the rest of Jordan I must admit that this is the most pleasant, relaxing and uncomplicated place to stay for both private and business purposes. The rooms were excellent (deluxe and premium), food was high quality and tasty (restaurant and room service), personnel was very helpfull and friendly and the check-in and -out was smooth. The only issue I had with the bill was clearified and rectified within minutes. 20 October 2013

The rooms are very roomy, beautifully furnished, and modern. The level of customer service is hard to find and the cleanliness of the hotel is refreshing. I must also comment on the security. With the state of issues in world today it is very reassuring to feel safe and well protected. Thank you to the staff and the security of the Intercontinental Amman. 05 October 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by room keys does not work The hotel is very good with one exception which are the room keys. They just does not seem to work. Everyday I needed to go down again and ask them to activate the 2 keys I had even when I kept them away from my mobile phone. This is a very bad key system and should be changed. 01 October 2013
