This was not my first visit to Athens nor this hotel and the reason I come back to both is the friedliness and warmness you receive from the locals ans especially from the staff of this hotel. The city has many unique areas to discover where you can spend from a couple to more days having many interesting things to do or visit like shops, culture events, culinary experiences even a one day trip to an island.
Staying in the hotel I believe the Club floor facilities and services are great value for money and the Premiere restaurant and Bar should not be missed not only for the amazing view of the Acropolis but also for its gourmet mediterranean cuisine.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Hanaq8 Great Hotel and wonderful beds !
To me a comfortable bed, a clean odorless environment and nice linens are a priority. My quality of sleep was great in this hotel. Loved the pillows. The staff were also very helpful and were extremely knowledgeable of the area. They were able to give very good advice as to where to dine out. We ate at MA2. It was suggested by concierge. Absolutely wonderful !! WE loved it. The hotel is also conveniently located. Easy access to taxi's. All around a great experience.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Disabled access a problem
There were safety and hygiene issues with the access arrangements for disabled wheelchair user, through a service area full of rubbish bins and cleaning implements.
There are problems to navigate to the ramp via the spa shop to the pool area. Once in the pool area there is no level access to the pool. Nor any way for non-walking disabled people to enter the pool. Not even steps. Ladder with 4 narrow rungs only.
A shame, as apart from the staff at entry point, otherwise the staff were excellent.
The comfort levels in room and in common areas are excellent. The bathroom was usable in a wheelchair and is spacious.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by glwfitzp Still needs attention...
Comparisons can be unfair but in comparison with other IHG locations there remains a lot of scope for improvement in the Athens version. Chat in the bar to a fellow guest and price -gouging is likely to come up early on. For the price of a cocktail at this place, outwith happy hour, you would make good inroads into the costs of a decent meal for two in a local taverna. If you are not a loyalty card member, expect over the top charges for internet and TV/movie access rather than these being seen as room standards. Slightly stale and outdated in appearance generally, the best rooms are on the pleasant Club levels and it is worth consdering the costs of an upgrade if you are staying here once you add on what parts of the "freebies" you might use. If you need internet access and are likely to be taking drinks and snacks, the club price differential might still make a dear stay less expensive, not least for a couple.
