Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Anniversery Stay We received an email prior to our stay inviting us to reply if we had any specific requests or needs. In this regard, the service of the Intercontinental Buckhead Atlanta started before we arrived. We requested an early check in and access to the pool so we could enjoy our week end romatic getaway. Monet Rumford made this happen and also took the extra step of recognizing our Anniversery with a note and a treat that was sent to the room. We enjoyed attentive service at the pool and in the spa. We also like to be able to text the concierge staff with requests. The jazz music in the lobby was the perfect ending to our evening out. We appreciate the fact that the Intercontinental Buckhead Atlanta donated this room to a silent auction to raise money for charity and hope it will continue to support the community in this fashion. We hope to be the winning bidders on an overnight stay with you again next year. Thanks Again! 25 June 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Luxury in the heart of Buckhead Had a brief stay, in by 9pm and out the next day at 11am but enjoyed the comfort of this 5 star gem. Bed is great, though I wished the pillows weren't quite so stuffed. Very quiet and beautifully decorated. The staff was great and so accommodating. Will definitely recommend this fine hotel. 24 June 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Breastfeeding Working Mothers Beware Please beware if you are a breastfeeding mother (especially those traveling for business). I was just here overnight for a large, two-day business conference and needed some special accommodations for breastfeeding/pumping purposes (a refrigerator and early arrival/late departure so I would have a private place to pump while our two-day conference was going on downstairs). Our marketing team contacted the hotel in advance about the late departure and were assured a 3:00 departure was no problem. Marketing asked me to contact the hotel directly about the fridge, as that seemed to be a fairly typical request. I called the 1-877 reservations number on the website to request a fridge and provided the confirmation number. A rude woman on the telephone told me I had the wrong confirmation number and that our firm had booked through a third party. She kept repeating that until I finally asked if she could handle the fridge request or not. She supposedly entered the request in the system and noted that they had me listed for a LATE arrival instead of the late departure they had supposedly confirmed earlier. Given her rude demeanor and general reluctance to help, I called the hotel in Buckhead directly (instead of the 1-877 number) the night before my arrival. I explained my needs and the rude woman's behavior to the representative in Buckhead, and she told me that the other woman was off-site and that it was better for me to call them directly in Buckhead. The representative found no record of any fridge request, so she supposedly entered one for me. However, the representative kept encouraging me to check out at 2:00 (not 3:00, as requested) because it was complimentary and would not involve an extra charge. She told me that I should pump in the women's locker room in the spa between business meetings. I kept telling her that I preferred the privacy of my room over a locker room (and would happily pay the extra fee for the privacy), but she kept pressuring me to pump in the locker room and check out at 2:00 instead of 3:00. When I arrived around noon the following day, the hotel did indeed allow me to check in early, which I greatly appreciated because I needed to pump before my first meeting. Unfortunately, there was no fridge when I got to my room despite my two phone calls in advance and reminding the front desk when I checked in. I called the front desk, and the woman told me they were looking to see if they had a fridge (they had one earlier in the morning but she could not confirm whether it was still available) and to call her if it did not arrive within 1/2 hour. Unfortunately, I had to go to the meeting without pumping given that I was out of time after all this, I did not have a fridge for milk storage, and the front desk could not guarantee that the hotel even had one available. Plus, I had a meeting and could not wait around my room for half an hour to see if the fridge showed up. When I checked back to the room during a short break in meetings a couple of hours later, the fridge had been delivered, thank goodness. I ultimately got the fridge and checked out at 3:00 (I refused to leave at 2:00 to pump in a locker room), but it added a lot of unnecessary stress (not to mention discomfort and caused me to be late to a session) during an already hectic two days packed with meetings. 24 June 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A Truly First Class Hotel This hotel was everything you would expect. Beautiful surroundings, terrific service, and an all-round great experience. Of special note was the staff, at all levels, pleasant, helpful, and really eager to please. I stay in a lot of hotels. This is an outstanding hotel. Thank you for a pleasant and memorable visit. 11 June 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great Hotel. Staff needs some work with courtesy We were told that check in for our 2 rooms was 3:00 PM and arrived accordingly at 3:15. Was told only 1 of the 2 rooms were ready but the other would be ready within 30 minutes. Having no choice, we all went to the room that was ready for the 30 minute wait. After 45 minutes with no update, I called down to the front desk and spoke with Carrie, who said room was still not available. I explained to her that we had dinner reservations for. 5:00 and it was already after 4:00 and we needed our room so we could get ready. She said that she would check with housekeeping and call me back. Another 10 minutes went by and she called to say room was ready and she was sending our key up to the room we were in. After ANOTHER 30 minutes, still no key!!! At this point we were almost 2 hours past standard check-in time with no room ! I called and spoke with the manager who did bring the key up around 5;00 PM and gave no explanations to why the original person (Carrie) did not make it with the key. We had to change our reservations, which was the whole reason we were in Atlanta to start with! Maybe a little less red carpet for the famous people would allow them time to take care of average people who come to Atlanta for a nice break and don't get to do it that often. 11 June 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great for a staycation! I needed to get my wife a break and the Intercontinental hit the nail on the head. Wonderful rooms, a friendly staff, and great room service. If you go to the spa ask for Mary! 09 June 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great location, good vibe, nice lobby. Great hotel. Highly recommend! Nice lounge and convenient location. 05 June 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Hotel The hotel is in a very nice neighborhood and the amenities too are pretty good. What was pretty unprofessional was that we would go to the 'Club Lounge' on a daily basis and find that no matter who you are - a guest or just visiting - you were able to get anything you wanted provided you paid 'tips'. This includes alcohol beyond the allotted time frame of 8 p.m. Extremely unprofessional for an InterContinental property! 04 June 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Truly a 5 star experience this was our first and will definitely not be our last stay here. the southern art restaurant is very good the hotel staff are incredibly attentive and genuinely nice and always happy to help or serve. 04 June 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Luxury accomodations in the heart of Atlanta The Intercontinental is a luxury fullservice hotel in Buckhead area of Atlanta. The room was spacious and extremely comfortable. It was fully equiped with media options, comfy beds and and linens. Dining options are plentiful and of high quality. The hotel is well situated near, shops, theaters and restaurants. 03 June 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great stay Hotel is clean well run and by in large staffed by friendly efficient and effective staff, right from front door through to front desk. Rooms are well appointed and are clean and bright, finding extra outlets is a challenge. Restaurant has best ribs I have ever tasted and staff are attentive and quick to bring any requested item. Bartending staff were the only disapointment during my stay, very unfriendly and did not make you feel welcome. 02 June 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very nice hotel We had a prepaid internet rate for an executive king with club access. They upgraded us to a corner suite on the 6th floor which was very comfortable. The valets and bell men were all excellent and well-trained. The only negative was that the coffee table was dirty, magazines sticky and the floor obviously hadn't been vacuumed. The club level was beautiful, the food and drinks very good and the people working there were very friendly and professional. We would go back to this hotel. Southern Art restaurant was very good as well. 01 June 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I'll be back I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Great location, with a variety of dining and shopping options within walking distance. The entertainment (jazz) Friday night was awesome. I also had an opportunity to dine at the hotel Sunday night and thoroughly enjoyed my meal. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and I will definitely stay at this property again when I return to Atlanta. 01 June 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by good and bad The staff, except for parking valets, were quite friendly and efficient. Unfortunately, we had long waits almost every time we tried to leave the hotel, once even when we were the only guest waiting for a car. It certainly left us with a poor impression of the hotel. 31 May 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Buckhead Location Overall I truly enjoyed my stay at the Intercontinental. This trip I brought along my 4 month old Chihuahua. Luke was well received by the hotel staff and other guests. Any negative I'd have to note would be the parking...a bit expensive for the daily rate. Otherwise, great value for what you get with amenities and such. Bar menu is served in the garden area which is also set up with games on the lawn. I will be staying at the Intercontinental again in the near future. 30 May 2014
