Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by An amazing wedding weekend My husband and I decided to elope in Austin very last minute and booked the Stephen after scouring downtown for romantic, conveniently located hotel. We were so incredibly impressed with the service we received there from the concierge staff to the valets. We were recognized and remembered throughout our stay and our room was amazing. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Austin area. It is well worth every penny! 27 February 2014

I am a very busy corporate events planner and I was in town to host an intense one day workshop, which made for two very long days for me! Everything I needed was available to me and the staff was very attentive. All very important when I just want to rest. We have considered Austin for some of our week long events and I will certainly be suggesting this property as our partner hotel! 24 February 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Business Center Needs Improvement Your hotel is nice with a beautiful lobby. Our meeting room was nice and staff attentive. You need to pay a little more attention to your business center. The copier did not function properly and the printer that prints out boarding passess jammed. Your staff could not fix it. The room was fine except for a malfunctioning bathroom door. It was on permanent lock so you had to make sure not to shut it. I reported the broken lock upon checkout. The energy saving lightbulbs cast a somewhat harsh light. I am not sure if there is a solution to this but attention to this would make for a nicer room environment. 12 February 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A short stay in Austin My wife & I just got back home after three delightful days in Austin, TX ay the Stephen F. Austin Hotel. Although it is an older hotel, they made up for that with good walking locations, great staff along with legendary Texas hospitality. We had an opportunity to visit a newer, larger hotel but we preferred the warm friendly feeling that the Intercontinental exudes. We had breakfast there on two occasions, it was quite nice. When we asked for recommendations for dinner, there was competition from the staff regarding their favorite place. We never had a bad meal. On our next trip to Austin, we surely will stay there. What a city & a hotel to go along with it. 02 February 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Quiet, clean, comfortable, attentive I've stayed in a lot of hotels over the years, all over the world. This hotel stood out for me for so many reasons. The staff was incredibly attentive, respectful, and eager to help. The bed was clean, firm, comfortable and made me feel like I was home. The room itself was great in terms of size, amenities, and temperature (it is often overlooked and only remembered when it doesn't work or the service is loud). Fantastic. Thank you. 31 January 2014

I was told at check in the change was due to a private party, but it would have been nice to know in advance so I could have searched for other options sooner. 30 January 2014
