Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 fabulous experience in a great hotel We had a fantastic stay in this great hotel last week. We were particularly impressed with the room overlooking the beach with beautiful sunsets every night. Our balcony and terrace (with jacuzzi) were brilliant and also offered us views of the mountains. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, especially everyone on reception. Kevin and Juan could not have been better hosts and solved some of our issues regarding dinner reservations quickly and effectively. We ended up having a really special meal on the beach at Noble House which was just perfect. The service we received there was outstanding, as was the food. Thanks to all for a wonderful holiday... we'll be back soon! 14 November 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice and comfortable resort Nice location, but far off from the city centre. Nice view and easy access to the beach. Transport out to anywhere can be quite expensive (2-way taxi to city is about 2,300 rupees if I recall correctly). Many food choices within the hotel, food is not bad but can be quite expensive (especially the restaurants). The main dining area is rather decent. Good service standards with attentive and friendly staff. Rooms are cleaned very well daily and internet is awesome. 13 November 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Stunning Location, Great water sports and friendly staff My wife and I stayed at the Intercon Mauritius for our honeymoon. From the moment we arrived and received our welcome cocktail to leaving the staff were really knowledgeable, attentive and friendly, especially the concierge team. The only slight gripes were business centre only had one, slow, locked down PC (fortunately this was not a business trip for me so only was there once!). Unlike other IHG brands there was not a clublounge advertised on arrival. The above is very minor however and pales when compared to the location where every angle is a postcard, the two pools, the sea to swim, sail, and kayak in. It was all perfect for our honeymoon. 12 November 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Spacious Resort Great location with excellent facilities. Rooms are spacious and well maintained by the staff. The beach was average, not highly conducive for swimming, but the surrounding area was excellent. Five restaurants with variety of food. Senso Buffets Restaurant is busy, but you could still find good seating zones. Variety of International food were provided, but notable absence of local sea food was disappointing! Dessert corner of Senso is an high risk area, as I have seen many children handling food and placing them back; Lack of supervision by parents and Staff. Staff are generally very shy and lacked experience. In contrast we enjoyed our meals at the Noble House Restaurant; Special thanks to the head waiter for taking care of us as VIPs! Poor service at the pool/Sugar Cane Bar. Excellent service at the lobby bar and at Segala Restaurant. Concierge service was good. Cultural evening entertainment at the hotel was enjoyable. Finally by no means least we would like to thank the Resort Manager who worked very hard but always attentive to the guests. 07 November 2014

At the pool and Sugarcane Bar, Ravi, Tasveen, Raphael, Manoj and Niaaz were truly amazing and made my wife's birthday an unforgettable experience. Ram at Segala was also incredible. Thanks to all. Elegimos Isla Mauricio como destino de nuestro viaje de novios y la elección del hotel la realizó la persona de la agencia de viajes que nos lo recomendó y la verdad, no nos cansamos de darle las gracias. Nuestra estancia en el hotel fue mucho mejor de lo que esperabamos, superó ampliamente nuestras expectativas. Nos ha encantado todo, desde que entramos por la puerta, que nos fascino, al igual que todo el complejo hotelero, nos dieron la habitación mucho antes de la hora de entrada, y cuando entramos en la habitación nos quedamos igualmente fascinados. Después empezamos a disfrutar de las instalaciones del hotel, y del personal que allí trabaja, que es lo mejor del hotel, siempre pendientes del cliente, atentos e intentando hacer todo lo posible para que disfrutáramos al máximo de nuestra estancia allí, un 11 para el staff del hotel. Nos ha costado, y mucho, despedirnos de ellos porque nos han tratado como estrellas, pero de un modo familiar. Entre todos ellos, junto con las maravillosas instalaciones y servicios del hotel, han hecho de nuestra estancia allí una experiencia inolvidable y maravillosa, absolutamente irrepetible, porque aunque volvamos, que realmente estamos deseando volver, ya no será igual porque ya sabremos lo que nos espera, una experiencia de 6 estrellas!!! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by lovely hotel; comfortable guest room; very helpful staff Lovely hotel - guest room was always clean, well maintained, everything worked properly; my room had a lovely terrace that opened onto a courtyard facing a pool and the beach. Staff were very helpful, solving every little issue that may have arisen. Setting and grounds - w/pools, beaches, beach chairs, etc. - were beautiful. My only suggestion to Intercontinental would be to add a little convenience store for small necessities, plus snacks, sandwiches, light breakfast room, coffee and sodas, open during daylight hours. 21 October 2014

Bis auf einige Kleinigkeiten, Zimmerservice abends, Am Pool richt die toilette sehr stark unangenehm. Ich hatte 2 Zimmer für die Familie, und hätte dafür für 1 Zimmer ein upgrade erwartet, weil das Hotel in dieser Zeit nicht ausgebucht war. 20 October 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Customer Experience Management Best Practice As a member of the Gold Ambassador program with Intercontinental (as well as with a couple of other hotel chains, due to intensive business travel) I admit I am a quite demanding guest, specially when I travel in the "romantic getaway without the kids" mood. Due to conferences or something, the Hotel couldn't meet the standards guaranteed for Gold Ambassador class on arrival, but the staff (spurred into action by one of the most "hands on" general manager I've seen in any hotel) really made such an effort, that they not only got back to the high standards of the Intercontinental brand, but really exceeded them by far. From my experience in other hotels and the stay there, I am positive that within a few more months, the hotel will be among the top 5 of the brand, worldwide. P.S.: special mention to: The pork dumplings from The Cook, the waiter service of Tool, and the Special Coconut drink from Raphael! ;-) 09 October 2014

One of the Senior staff offered me a room closer to the reception area for ease of getting to reception in the morning to be shuttled to the office. 08 October 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great property but poor customer service I and my wife reached the hotel, tired after a long travel at around 1.45 pm looking forward to a good nap at the room. We were greeted by the staff who to our horror informed us that the room is not yet ready and would take a few minutes. It took 1 hour for the room to be given to us and instead of apologizing the staff stated "it's only a few minutes delay not hours !", this is not acceptable at a hotel where checkout timings are strict to the minute. Thereafter, we are told that the Honeymoon package which we paid for is not reflecting in the hotel records, which means we cannot get additional benefits of the package. I had to make some calls and exchange some emails with the travel agency in my country to get this fixed which took around 4 days. The customer service staff did not make a single attempt to resolve the issue, which to me is a really bad experience. After all the inconveniences caused to us, the service staff did not bother to apologize in a proper manner; instead they did not allow me a late checkout. Even after resolving, i had to make multiple requests for availing the benefits of the package whereas i expect the hotel to arrange without the guest having to remind multiple times. The housekeeping is not very courteous and helpful; they would not even provide all the towels / toiletries they are supposed to provide even after requesting. The property is fabulous and one can really enjoy the stay at this hotel. It can be one of the best destinations at Mauritius, is customer service is improved. 07 October 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Extremely warm and friendly staff This hotel provides the ultimate in service and friendliness. All 4 restaurants provide superb food and there is enough variety to satisfy every palette. Not sure what the hotel will be like in high season as there are too many rooms for the restaurants to service. It could do with another tennis court and allow guests to play later than 7pm The concierge could have been more helpful in trying to organise golf for guests. They knew that various guests were looking for games but were unwilling to put these guests in touch with each other. A very minor complaint because overall the service was excellent and a memorable holiday 25 September 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Traumurlaub Das war ein Traumurlaub. Alle Menschen in diesem Hotel sind so aufmerksam damit es dir an nichts fehlt. Wenn man einen Wunsch hat einfach an die Rezeption und man hilft. Die Unterhaltung ist zauberhaft und nicht aufdringlich. Abendliche Darbietungen sind wunderschön. Das Hotel liegt direkt am Meer was wunderschön zum Schnorcheln ist. Badeschuhe wegen den Korallen wären vielleicht ein Vorteil. Durch 3 Themenrestaurant und ein Hauptrestaurant findet wirklich jeder etwas nach seinem Geschmack. Für meine Familie und mich waren das die 2 besten Wochen Urlaub die wir je hatten. Keine Sorge das das Hotel etwas außerhalb liegt man kann mit einem Taxi die ganze Insel erkunden. Einfach an der Rezeption fragen. In diesem Hotel finden auch Tagungen und Hochzeiten statt. Die Hotelgäste merken keinen Unterschied. Ob jetzt eine Tagung ist oder nicht . Die Angestellten sind immer gleich fröhlich und freundlich. Wenn man sich einmal als etwas ganz besonderes fühlen möchte oder einfach nur dem Stress entgehen will sollte man in dieses Hotel auf diese Trauminsel gehen. 19 September 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Hotel, Great Vacation I have to say our experience at the Intercontinental Mauritius was just awesome. We arrived and being an Intercontinental Ambassador found that we had been upgraded to a Presidential Suite and it just got better from there. The staff were friendly and could not do enough to make the holiday special for us, I'd like to thank everybody at the hotel for such a fantastic vacation. Room was great, food was great, the rum was great! I needed a relaxing holiday to recharge the batteries and that's what I got. I travel globally with my job, stay in a lot of countries, lots of hotels but this is the most friendly and welcoming I have ever been to. The only criticism I have is the hotel would benefit from a shuttle bus, but taxi's were plenty. Thanks again to Juan and his team and hope to see you all again at Christmas. 13 September 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by improved customer service This was my second stay at the intercontinental Mauritius.i visited last year and must say that it was better this year than last. The staff seemed to be focused on customer service which was lacking last year. There's nothing I can really say bad about the hotel the only one thing I can knock it for is that there isn't an airport shuttle bus. 12 September 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by La mejor atención que nunca recibí Era la primera vez que visitaba el Ressort de Intercontinental Maurithius aunque no era mi primera experiencia en hoteles similares en mis visitas previas a Tenerife, Koh Samui, Cancú bien éstas fueron formidables, mi estancia en Intercontinental Mauritius será inolvidable. Nunca me sentí tan en familia, tan excelentemente acogido por su personal que siempre me brindó una sonrisa. Desde el primer día fuimos recibidos por el responsable del hotel y quien se fue interesando, día a día, por la calidad de nuestro estancia e intentando solventar cualquier dificultad que surgiese no solo en referencia al hotel si no también en cuanto a nuestra estancia. En cuanto a las instalaciones, las habitaciones son excelentes, muy amplias y en perfecto estado de conservación. Si tengo que poner algún "pero", lo pondría en los mandos de la televisión y la cobertura WIFI ya que algunas zonas carecían de ésta. El hotel dispone de 4 restaurantes con diferente temática (Hindú, Oriental, Zen y Estándar) y la calidad de éstos me sorprendió ya que tuve la oportunidad de probar todos sus menus degustación. En resumen, mi estancia en Intercontinental Ressort fue formidable y recomendaría totalmente su reserva. 08 September 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great staff and accommodation... We had an excellent experience here during the peak of the Mauritian winter. ...but it was a "tired" looking hotel. With a bit of TLC under the excellent new management I am sure it will flourish into the gem it was meant to be. Also, the management have promised to stop charging for water during meal times - yay! The food was delicious and the staff were awesome. The only downside was the "average" entertainment (sound system) although the performers were brilliant. Overall, would definitely go back there :-) 02 September 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great location and top notch service This hotel is in a beautiful location and the overall layout is excellent. The whole resort is extremely clean and tidy and well equipped. The highlight, though, is the quality of service from the staff. Every single one could not have ben more helpful. They were extremely polite, attentive, but not overly so, and happy and cheerful. Not a single one passed us without saying hello and asking if we were having a good time. The quality of the food was extremely high and we were treated to two dinners on the beach. Quite an experience. The variety of restaurants allowed us to try lots of different dishes and the chefs were only to happy to provide extra, even without being asked. 15 August 2014
