The grounds were amazing, full of beautiful fountains, statues of gods and mythical creatures dotted through the lush gardens and complementing the stunning stone walls.
We were upgraded to a Singajara room complete with 24 hour concierge, DVD library, 24 hour refreshments and a bigger room to say the least.
The daily activities board had everything on offer from yoga to fish market tours, cooking classes to surf lessons, staying at the Intercontinental really means that you do not have to leave the hotel.
We loved the poolside cabana, due to its thatched roof those with a tendency to burn are able to sit poolside without trying to manoeuvre pool side seating which was great for my very pastey boyfriend. The pool is absolutely stunning though and it has a swim up bar which just tops it off.
We used the Ripcurl surf school at the hotel to hire a Stand Up Paddleboard which was awesome and very well priced! We also did Yoga, complete with headstands!
Bella Cucina was absolutely amazing and well priced. Very romantic at night and the service was great! Bella Cucina also offers hands on cooking classes throughout the week. We learnt how to make various types of plain pasta as well as spinach and ricotta tortellini/ravioli, a butter sauce and a tomato lobster sauce.
We both love breakfast and the buffets were great, the choice of a pool side, beach setting or a garden view option with live Balinese music were great. Both offer a pretty similar menu however it seems like there is more variety in the garden view restaurant but I could be wrong.
The room service menu offers a selection from almost every restaurant as well as a comprehensive Balinese, Chinese, Western menu. We ordered in room service from KO Restaurant and were able to choose off the KO menu as well as the KO room service menu. KO is the hotel’s resident Japanese restaurant whose head chef has worked in the Nobu, no less.
I used to work in a gym when I was younger so the pinnacle of judgement for any hotel is the gym facilities - a clean, orderly gym is my kind of gym. The dumbbells were shiny new and each has its partner sitting right next to it. The treadmills and bikes were new, fit with TVs and easy to use. The trainer was super friendly and I think that he takes pride in his gym which is why it is so clean and everything still looks brand new.
The staff are so beautifully happy and proud of what they do. Each acknowledges you as you pass them and if you’re lucky you’ll catch them laughing amongst themselves, high fiving kids around the grounds and probably loving the fact that they work in one of the most scenic places in the world.
The service was second to none and I can honestly say we’ll be booking a second trip the next time we get a chance. It was very tough leaving the Intercontinental Jimbaran!!

Fantastic first experience at IC Bali. Greeted very warmly as a Royal Ambassador and resort kindly extended the late check-out privilege to the other 2 rooms for my travel group. The welcome gifts (for all ladies) was also much appreciated. Spring for a club room! with multiple breakfast (venue) options, you'll be spoiled for choice. Not to mention the good selection (comparatively, on the island of Bali) of alcoholic beverages in the evening cocktail hours in the lounge.
Too bad I only had 3 days. would have liked to spend more time lazing/reading in one of the bale-bales by the club pool.

This was the best and most beautiful hotel we have stayed in, the grounds, the pool, the choice of restaurants and right on the beach. The staff were friendly and helpful and very happy we were extremely well looked after and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

This is truly one of the world's great resort hotels.......great facilities, genuinely warm Balinese service and attention to detail, especially the Club International facilities/privileges under the guidance of Guest Relations Director, A.A Joni and his staff, who will pull out all stops to ensure their guests enjoy a most memorable and satisfying stay.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointed_customer Disappointing for an Intercontinental hotel
Hotel room was disappointing. Rooms are dated and bed was hard. Pillows were flat and towels were thin, old and stained in some cases. Bathroom and room needed deep cleaning. The beach was dirty and not their private beach, disappointing to find when I got there. No beach chairs or service right on the beach
The one good review I will give is the staff. The people there were great and service was great, especially the Club lounge staff. Impressive that the staff knew our names throughout the resort.
For an IC, it did not live up to its brand. The property needs major renovation and improvements.

Whilst the raining season, the rain always passes quickly, refreshes, and creates great sense of wellness.
This is my second stay here. The Bukit Suites are incredible. Lot's to do. With the wind off the ocean, feels like you outside on a sunny day with the air conditioner blowing on you.
Very attentive staff with lots of great recommendations on things to do .
