Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Stay Excellent hotel....great location-in the sense that all the shopping nearby...walking distance 5-8 minutes on the skywalk...Central,Gaysorn,Siam was nice...breakfast nice...the gym was fab so was the staff there...thai massage ok-dokey...better available at Gaysorn next door...reception could be a little more friendly...all in all would recommend this hotel. 05 June 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by comfotable bed and pilloe When we check out, I told the staff in reception that our room in 2706 and 2707, the staff didnt listen. He keep saying the room 2606, he look at the computer, we at the table told that guy that the room number is 2706, he didin't listen at all.until i get mad and stare at him, at that time he is listen to me. I think that receptionist didn't know between number 2706 and 2606. I think the hotel show teach him a good english lesson. The hotel is five star, should listen to customer. The insial person is S. First room given with lots of Ants, I complained and was moved. Room service only till 11pm Unlikely to return 01 June 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Welcoming hotel I have been staying in this hotel many times because it makes me feel like home. The location is superb, the staffs are friendly and service is excellent. The room air con is cold and makes us feel comfortable. The bed and pillows gave us good sleep. The bed sheets are fresh and crisp. The club lounge is a good place to hang out. 01 June 2013

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Done staying at this hotel Please teach your staff how to read a guest profile. I have had the same profile for 15 years: 1. Quiet room (Directly below the gym is not quiet) 2. Non - Smoking Room a room that smells like a chimney and just sprayed over does not qualify 3. King size bed - Usually done correctly Every other Intercon, Holiday Inn, Crowne Plaza can get this right - why cant you? I was supposed to stay for 4 nights but checked out after the first because when I arrived at 10PM you did not have a room that was non-smoking. My reservation was made a week in advance. I dont think I surprised you. I have probably 7-10 stays at this hotel in the last 6 months and they screw up the room more often than not. 28 May 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Truly a home away from home This is my favourite hotel, best location in the heart of downtown surrounding by shopping complex. My first choice hotel for both leisure and business. First class facilities. Staff are all friendly. I would also highly recommend seafood buffet dinner on Fri and Sat at Espresso, one of the best buffet in town. Would also highly recommend room with Club Lounge access where we can sit back and relax with cold drinks after tired shopping walk, a great experience. 26 May 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great room. Very inconsistent service. Despite 6 requests on the exact same matter - over the course of 7 days - the management only addressed it as I was leaving. Even then it was not resolved. It's a lovely hotel. But then again - a hotel is only a building. The staff are what makes it special - and in this case, the senior staff don't care. 22 May 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by executive floor Hi, First let me comment that the hotel is great, excellent location, great rooms and very friendly atmosphere. Breakfast is amazing, one of the best I ever had. as for the executive lounge, its a bit disappointing considering the room cost. the happy hour is very nice arranged, colorful items and tasty. but to my opinion, the items which are suggested are less than what is given in other similar hotels and I would expect it to be a bit more. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Breakfast in INTERCONTINENTAL in Bangkok This is one hotel that serves great breakfast. My day was definitely lifted to a new high with a sumptous breakfast that is unlike most of the other hotels that I attended. I love the fresh fruits and bread section which I always head for first in my breakfast venture and the sunny side up was done perfectly - smoething that is so simple and yet so difficult ! Really looking forward to my next breakfast in Bangkok - another reason to come here ! Paul and May Singapore 12 May 2013

There is no doubt that their service level is always at the highest level from the conceirge to the check in staff to the restuarant staff. Conceirge Staff will ensure they get you a cab that will go by meter reading Check in staff ensure your room is ready when you arrive. I was check in immediately when arrive at 11am within 5mins. Bathroom amentities looks very small bottle, but when use it, it smell very nice and smoothing. Location is very good as close to MRT and shopping centers Some Improvement needed which includes 1) digital air-con thermostat, current analog thermostat difficulty to see and achieve comfort cooling 2) Some furniture looks quite old, some makeover may need to be carried out, especially at the bathroom 3) There are many stairs to get into the hotel lobby from the drop off point, it will be ncie to have a ramp for baby pram to push up 4) Expand the food variety for the breakfast menu will be nice Overall, It is a very nice stay and I will definitely be back again for the service, location and cleanliness. 29 April 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A great Bangkok base We recently spent 10 weeks in SE Asia, and used the Intercontinental as our base for trips to the south and north of Thailand, to Vietnam, Laos and Bhutan. Coming back to the Intercontinental for as little as one night, and for as many as five, felt like coming home. We used the concierge to confirm travel arrangements, left our luggage without any hassles and relied on the efficient laundry. We left a power cord behind on one visit, and it was delivered to our room within 10 minutes of our arrival on the subsequent visit. The central location meant we were never far from shopping opportunities and access to Bangkok's many attractions, and the comfort of the rooms and hotel restaurants meant we could just hang out if that suited us better. Staff, from housekeeping to front desk to luggage service and laundry, was always first-rate. 21 April 2013

It couldn't be situated in a better place, just a couple minutes from the Chit Lom BTS skytrain station and right next door to Central World in the heart of Bangkok. From here, you can get to the Jatujak street market, Patpong, the airport and many other places easily. The staff was very helpful and very accommodating. The room was great and the bed was comfortable, although the shower needed a little touch up. The amenities were average--your basic hotel fare. The gym on the 35th floor was fantastic. One of the best hotel gyms I've ever worked out in with fabulous views of the city. I enjoyed my stay here greatly and will definitely come back again. 21 April 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 Horrible Check in Had asked for an early check in prior to booking and when we arrived at the hotel after an all night no sleep flight at 1pm, we were told the room is getting ready. For the next two hours we were told the same thing and yet no sign of the room; finally around 3pm we were allotted a room after much coaxing the reception and that too one next to the elevator banks when all we wanted to do was sleep some. Of course that was impossible with the elevators going ping every few seconds so asked to change the room which was finally done around 5-pm and we could take a nap. So sad that we had to go through this horrible experience; suffice to say never staying at this property again. 18 April 2013

It happened again on this visit, and I have told your staff it will never happen again, because I will not stay at this hotel again. I have enough trouble trying to sleep, and to put me next to a railway line, I am totally disgusted. No excuses Intercontinental, you don't listen. Ken A. 12 April 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Quiet rooms and great location We had adjoining rooms on 21st floor and they were very quiet, extremely clean and comfortable. Breakfast at buffet offered many choices. Location is great for easy walks to shopping and very convenient to rail options. Concierge made two fantastic restaurant recommendations in two different price ranges. Enjoyed using the gym which is very spacious and offers lovely city views. Would easily recommend this hotel to friends and family. 06 April 2013

In all my travels in Asia we have to settle for beds that are to firm and uncomfortable. The workout facilities are minimal at best. However, we have found this hotel to have great service, free internet, full breakfast, superior gym facilities, and of course a comfy bed. When we return to Bangkok, it will be our hotel of choice! 05 April 2013
