Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by English is the spoken languange My overall experience in Intercontinental Financial Street is good, with a bit frustration with the language barriers. I was in a meeting where everything need to be very quick and concise, and sometimes "little english" by the staff is not helpful. However, they really tried to understand and fulfill our needs, even with the form of small body language and a lot of patience. 07 September 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 Underwehlming I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights on business. We arrived late and went down for lunch at about 8.30pm to the Chinese Restaurant. We felt rushed and the bill was given to us while we were still eating. The bar is poor and the service at the bar is too. On the second day we chose to eat elsewhere. This was my first time at an intercontinental and I was very disappointed to say it is IHG's Premium Brand. The whole experience was underwhelming. I also had a non-smoking room, which didn't smell like it was! There was other peoples hairs in the bath and all the furniture around the hotel (dark wood) is starting to look very dated, damaged and repaired very badly. 03 September 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Awful and insulting club level My stay at The Intercontinental Beijing was poor. The staff was so inept they allowed early check in, but never stated there was an additional charge for this expense. The only saving grace was that the night employee happened to be there that day and I was checking out. Thus I was able to call her over while arguing this point with another employee who insisted the extra charge had been disclosed to me. This employee confessed she did not, thus sparing me the extra fee. But without lucky timing, we would be fighting over this charge even now. The main culprit, however, is the Club Level. What exists at this hotel is a hypocritical policy in which the club states operating club hours, but in fact begin taking down the club meals 30 minutes prior to closing. The manager is such an obstinate liar that she actually argued this point while her staff was taking down the food around us. All she kept stating was that the club closes at a certain point, then tried to say they take down the food only 15 minutes before closing (which is also not proper policy). And although this policy is incorrect, I was able to show her the time which was in fact 30 minutes prior to the meal's closure. At this point rather than admit her lie, she insisted that she could get us whatever food we wished that had been taken away. She promised to have it cooked, although made no assurance to the ten other club guests who entered half an hour before closing and had no food to eat. The food that was brought to us was in fact cold and no doubt from the staff cafeteria or some litany of leftovers. The Chinese are very rule specific and love quoting rules, but this club manager violated and lied about her own rules. This club manager should be replaced and the entire club overhauled. It is awful to be hosted by a hotel which charges money for a club service and does not offer it. 02 September 2014

I have stayed in the hotel for the past 8 years and each stay has given me such a memorable experience; from the great services at the front desk, to polite club lounge hosts and helpful concierge staff. The hotel is also centrally situated in Beijing's financial district. Great location, great value for money. A must to visit if you are in Beijing. 01 August 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 舒適安靜,但性價比略高 住房乾淨舒適且安靜,床很好睡.不過櫃台接待人員熱情略欠缺,門口的接待員很勤快幫忙叫車等服務蠻到位,不過當初透過agoda訂房已升級至豪華行政房付清,不知為何結帳時仍要求升等費用,這點是最不滿意之處,但當下並未反應. 29 July 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Dissapointed First the good points: front desk staff and concierge were well trained, polite and helpful. The location of the hotel was very convenient for where I was going. The negative points: My room was not vacuumed for the entire 5 days I stayed there. From the discarded nail clippings and bits of food on the carpet, it appears that it has not been cleaned for quite some time. The pillows in the room stank of stale sweat. Something that I would not expect from an Intercontinental. Other negatives include the air conditioning system in the room. It could not cool the room down adequately. The temperature was around 25degs the first night I checked in. It took about 3 days before finally the temperature showed 22 degs. Other minor points - from the state of the hangers in the room, and some of the furniture, it looks like the hotel is due for some refurbishment/maintenance soon. 28 July 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by very good business hitel stayed 6 nights and was very satisfied. The A/C did not take the moisture out of the air, but this is typical for Beijing. Food was very good and breakfast buffet is pricey but very good. The best thing about this hotel is the service...very efficient and very accommodating. 21 July 2014
