Hotel is great...with one caveat - they got stingy on the water supply! Note - in a 5 star hotel with a "DO NOT DRINK" sign on the sink, you have to give more than 2 bottles of water to guests!! I asked at breakfast if I could get an extra bottle or 2, and the lady said "well, that's not a part of the breakfast" - ha ! I have 2 problems with that - 1) at a five star hotel - give the guest what he wants! 2) for $30 for a breakfast buffet, give a bottle of water or 2 !
Hope the hotel can constructively build on this annoying "feature"...don't be like the airlines - make money from selling stuff you ought to give away for nothing.
Otherwise a nice experience - Spa is actually very very good ! Expensive but really 5 star. Food is what you expect, and the fitness facilities are great.

It is always a great experience to meet with your nice, friendly and professional people: No matter if at the front desk, guest service, the consierge or the staff in your club, they are all just great people.
The rooms are great especially the suite you have assigned me to.
Thank you all

This is my preferred property when in Beijing.
I am recognized as a return guest with solid Royal Ambassador benefits and upgraded to studio suites, which are big rooms with a large living room and office area.
Some of the best Club lounges in China with fantastic staff. Wonderful, warm service and all you can wish for breakfast and evening cocktails.
Minor drawback: Printing is not free in the club lounge (but is in almost all other Intercontinentals in China).
The Italian restaurant serves very good food in a relaxing atmosphere.
Location is right at the Olympic grounds in-between 4th and 5th. There is much space around the hotel and the area doesn't feel crowded like Beijing's city center. Nonetheless, the hotel is easily accessible. Taxis are always available (otherwise a problem in Beijing), and there are several routes to the airport avoiding the usual traffic jams. With the metro line 8 now allowing a transfer to line 2 (and 10), the city center is also easily accessible by public transport.
Overall, I am always looking forward to return to this hotel.
