The shower flooded the whole floor beyond the bathroom to the entrance of the hotel room. My shoes got wet as well.
Check in difficulty in regards if my membership card number and status is entered to the check in profile. As of this moment, I still do not see my points accumulated yet online.
Also, I booked through the internet with pre-paid rate and at check out I was asked to pay through the hotel. This might be caused by change of the stay date through the telephone booking but rate format was not explained. I need to wait until end of month before I can see if the hotel double charged me.

perfect location: face to Olympic Garden, famous 'WaterCube', 30 minutes to International Airport.
the staff in Club Lounge was very nice, especially the Manager of the Club Lounge was very friendly.

As Royal Ambassdor who spent over 250+ nights per year in hotel I have been a critical guest, BeiChen IC can feed most of my needs.

This is my favorate hotel and I love this one. It is perfect this time as usual.
Speed of internet is a little bit slow but it is acceptalbe. Hope hotel could improve.

As many modern and busy cities in China, the capital is packed with many amazing architectures. Staying in this hotel, you could overlook the famous "bird nest" and "water cube" from 2008's Beijing Olympic Game. The hotel is quite well maintained and carefully designed with some best infrastructures among the Intercontinental hotels that I have been. The room is spacious, the bed is very comfortable. The night view of water cube through the floor-to-ceiling room window is a magic! The breakfast buffet has a broad selections of eastern and western foods, but could be really crowded when it's peak hours.
The only downside is the service. I enjoyed the conversations with the staffs from the concierge and the front desk. They were very nice and tried hard to help.However, the servers in the restaurants may never talk to you if you did not try hard to wave or stop them. The chefs in the buffet room do not seem to bother but have a loud conversation with each other during the busy hours..
In terms of location, due to my business meeting, it has not been an issue for me. However, if you are in Beijing for sightseeing, the location is a bit off the center. It will take 15-mins taxi to get to all major sightseeing sites except Olympic park.

I am quite disappointed for the experience in InterContinental Hotel(BEIJING BEICHEN).
I checked in on 27th July and checked out on 31st July. Room number is 1422.
Due to the wrong answer from the Telephone Operator of “INSTANT SERVICE”, I was charged CNY 657.7 from a buffet instead of a free breakfast on 28th July.
Then a lady from Malaysia nicely invited me to the club at third floor and promised me the cost(CNY 657.7) will be deducted from breakfast.
I am not so happy for three reasons below:
1, The club is not attractive for me. My colleague used PA membership to invite me to this club very often.
2, The cost did not deduct from breakfast when I received my bill (Folio No. 6950656).
3, My colleague was surprised that this cost(CNY 657.7) was not cancelled from my bill finally.
It left me a very negative impression although I have never tried InterContinental Hotel before.

I was there only one night, but i had time explore the hotel. Location is excellent, just beside the olympic Stadium Area. Lovely staff at the lounge, especially, i would like to recommended Sarah and Winnie. Thanks to David (F & B Director) as well, for taked time to talked and asked us about our stay.

I came to this hotel first time once the Olympic officials left 2008. The facility was built with most sophisticated technology and modern design. The location is convenient for business traveller trying to escape the Beijing traffic jam and to reduce time to airport.
But staff's turn over is so high that I bearly recognise any of them after each return. I may be one of the longst "serving guests" of hotel's 5 years' history, exceeding service time of most of staffs.
Many are interns without any authority and competence. Without well trained staffs, this hotel has no chance to offer top service expected from an intercontinental hotel.

If you are searching for a value-for-money five-star hotel in Beijing, this is one of the BEST, in my opinion.
1. Quality service, especially the Ambassador check-in counter.
2. Spacious room - comfy bed, Bose sound system, quality amenities and mini bar
3. Panorama View - excellent night view into the world famous "Bird Nest"
4. Security - easy-to-use access card into hotel lifts and room
1. Surroundings - probably a bit lack of convenient stores, shops and restaurants around the hotel.

The staff smile and greet me sincerely, and make me feel like at home! Especially Lina, who could recognize me every time, is very smart, professional and efficient!
And only some little flaws, I usually don't have good sleep, the curtain can not stop all the light outside so I was waked up by the first light of sunshine, and I could hear the click of switch from the next room.
After all, generally, intercontinental is one of my most prefers, Thank you for what you have done!

The bed is great for a long distance traveller, I would like to bring it home ；）
The staff are helpful and stylish, well trained. The problem is charing of internet service is relative expensive comparing with a nation level in China.
What is the point of block the acess of internet of business pp by a high payment of internet?
You should at least give the members a free internet.

The hotel is located closed to the bird stadium in Beijing city, and the 4-th rim. The overall environment is very good, quiet, and comfortable. The facilities are also very nice. Staff are always helpful. The only concern is parking - very limited parking positions.

I have stayed in IC hotels throughout the world, including several in Asia. I stayed at this one because of a conference I was attending at the nearby convention hall. This is the first IC where I would likely not come back. Here are some highlights:
1. Check-In: this was the first time my Ambassador benefits were not recognized/outlined. While I did receive my room upgrade, I had just renewed my status after some time so I was not familiar with what the benefits were at this hotel. Since this was not explained to me I avoided most of the amenities so as to not be over-charged.
2. The screen kept going out on my TV. Someone came up and fixed it, but when I came back to the room it didn't work again. Because it was later in the trip I did not call for another service person.
3. The "happy hour" in the Club Lounge actually takes during the dinner hours of 18:00-20:00. It was impossible to take advantage of this since dinner is always on the agenda for business trips. This is the most limited time-frame I have ever seen. Extremely disappointing. This was a waste of money and I would not recommend purchasing access.
4. Room was per normal IC properties: spacious with convenient work/rest spaces.
5. This was the first hotel I have ever stayed at where the restaurants are not well marked or described outside of the room guide. Not a big deal for me, but I did not visit them since I didn't know anything about them and wasn't sure they even had more than one restaurant until I stumbled on it at the end of my trip.
Overall, this was a typical IC property. Given items 1-3, it did not meet my expectations based on previous experience and was therefore not worth what I paid. I will not stay here again.

Stayed 4 nights at Intercontinental Beichen for the first time. Having stayed at other Intercontinental Hotels I was expecting the same experience. Unfortunately this was not quite the case. I found the staff at the hotel less welcoming, showing a lack of what I consider, basic customer service. The club lounge offerings in the evenings are far from the standard offered at other Intercontinental hotels. In my room, bed sheets were not changed during my stay. Cleanness of the room could be improved generally.

My family stayed at the Hotel in April, and the staff and the hotel were both excellent. They made sure to accommodated my two young girls, and we were able to fit in another bed in the room very easily.
The buffet breakfast was very good, and again they make sure that my two girls were happy. Overall a very goo stay.

2.the bath room sewer is blocked up,and the water come out all over the washing room, bad experience

4. birthday cake is so late, and when the cake come, no gave any tools to eat

I do like the IC Beijing Beichen a lot. It is easy to get to from the international airport and the hotel offers all you need at a highest level. I appreciate the friendly staff and do enjoy the comfort of the entire hotel . There is nothing I could complain about. I have been visiting twice so far and I will continue to do so, each time I visit Beijing.

Friendly staff. Nice room. Good+ breakfast (make sure you ask for coffee right away though). Good location for a business traveler...at least it was for me...25min to the airport in the morning (6AM) and relatively close to where newer tech places are cropping up. Not particularly close to the city center. Fitness center will accommodate early hours.
