Moana is a nice resort with over water bungalows. the Ambassador guest welcome was awesome and the hotel is nice except for the bar service and the lack of night activities- but a common place for the island. This is a honeymoon place but still feels something is missing when all inclusive the bar is closed at 22:00. This is general in Bora-Bora as i understod

We were there at the end of August for our honeymoon. What a beautiful place, very nice resort. It's not comparable to the 5 star resorts but we still very glad we chose Le Moana Continental. Staffs were exceptional, very friendly and helpful. We were greeted by Lelanei who hgave us a warm welcome and accommodated us from the start. The resort is well-maintained, included free snorkeling, canoeing, kayaking. We had daily breakfast buffet which was very delicious surprisingly, especially the omelets! Special thanks to Victor, William, Topari, Vahine, Jacques, Anna, and the whole kitchen crew, amazing! Four star resort but five star service. We would love to go back someday, we miss everyone there!

We were welcomed by the General Manager herself upon arrival. The overwater bungalow we stayed at was amazing and we didn't want to leave. To have fish swimming underneath your glass coffee table is not something that you get at every hotel. The room was always clean and had everything we needed. The beds and pillows weren't the comfiest, but it could be that I'm just not used to a certain type of bed / pillow. The food wasn't the best but the overall experience made the whole trip very memorable. It was so easy to be picked up for excursions and go into the village because the hotel was located on the main island. Being able to go to the sister resort was also a bonus.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by bobbylobby GREAT HOTEL EVER!!!!!
Not only the location and its nature, but the whole atmosphere made our honey moon the greatest memory ever. Staff are most of them, very friendly and kind, and we really appreciate that. I understand that the hotel is very good and clean, so as the food. but we would be much happier if the price of dinner was a little more reasonable. I liked the bath tub in our lagoon cottage. Table in our room, which was transparent to the sea, was very good experience. Overall, we had a greatest time and experience ever and we would love to stay again in some other time. Thank you.

We absolutely loved our visit to Le Moana in Bora Bora. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive, the food was delicious and beautifully presented and our over water bungalow was a spectacular experience. We stayed at InterContinental Hotels on Tahiti & Moorea also & Le Moana was the best overall experience we had. We also visited the Thallasso Spa property & although bigger & more modern decor, we loved the intimacy, feel & friendliness of Le Moana much more. We hope to return soon.

We stayed in Over Water Bungalow #27 and it was fabulous! The walk to our bungalow was rather long but it was worth the privacy and view and we enjoyed the exercise. It was also a little more windy but once again - worth it! Highly recommend any bungalows between #19-27. The staff was so nice - especially Lei Lani - she was very accommodating and always remembered our names! This resort was truly a dream and looks just like the post cards and advertisements. We rode the boat transfer to the Thelasso Resort 2 mornings for breakfast and really enjoyed it too. It wasn't as windy over there but the beach was more rocky and not as sandy as Le Moana. This was a 30 year anniversary and I hope we don't wait another 30 years to return!!

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Abushki Beautiful views but...
Unfortunately all of French Polynesia is expensive and the Moana isn't an exception. The bungalow over the water was as expected but the price we had to pay for the dinner and show was incredibly expensive. This was a post cruise trip and the shows on the Paul Gauguin were 100% better. The show seemed to have amateurs in it. The breakfast buffets catered to the Europeans and had no cereals and other foods that Americans like to eat. We decided against lunch there because the breakfast buffet cost more than $38 per person and there was nothing to eat. After this we indulged in hamburger and pizza at the bar.
The swimming pool was nice tho a little small.
We met people who were staying at the Thalasso sister resort and they said it was a lot better with more restaurants.
There was very little to do at the Moana except for snorkeling.. At the time there was a swell so their advice was not to go into the ocean.
Housekeeping has an attirude if you request a cleanup. When we called for one, they came but never cleaned the bathroom and just swapped out the dirty towels for clean ones.

What can I say....La Moana Bora Bora was everything that we expected and more. The hotel was located on one of the most pristine stretches of water. The shades of blue were everything that you would see in the best pictures taken, without photo shop! We found the staff to be helpful and eager to please. It is amazing how they manage the daily routines of: boats coming & going, pickups to other locations and shuttle service all over the island. Don't miss out on "The Lucky House" (just on the right, on the main road, across from the market), also the older "Bora Bora Yacht Club" for sunsets! Thanks to everyone who made our stay so memorable.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Dannys744 Great Honeymoon Experience
Stayed at resort from May 6-11, 2013, and had a fantastic experience. The hotel was clean, service was good, food was great; an overall wonderful experience.
Enjoyed a beachfront bungalow, which had a great view of the beach, and the other overwater bungalows. Each staff member was kind and curteous, and made us feel very comfortable while being on property.
The location of the property is also a plus, as being on the mainline, you have easy access the the island's restaurants, stores etc. The water at the resort was also great for snorkling, kayaking, and stand-up paddle boarding, and numerous fish and stingray's were seen in the waters at any given time.
We look to celebrate another milestone with you in the future!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Fabiola Very nice hotel with some moody staff
The hotel is in an excellent and beautiful location. Rooms are beautiful, comfortable and clean. The restaurants and the shops are nice and convenient. Some of the staff, both Polynesian and French are great, very kind, very helpful, willing to help and providing not only excellent service but also manners. On the contrary, a few of the elderly Polynesian ladies at the restaurants are moody and even directly unfriendly. They change attitude and behave when the director was present, which was seldom. Though I would highly recommend this hotel to other customers , I would seriously request the hotel' s direction to supervise the attitude of those employees that ruin the experience of the guests.

The location and the rooms (over the water) were good but the smell of the bathroom destroyed the romantic atmosphere. Complained multiple times but nothing was done.
One of the members of our groups was robbed. The manager on duty blamed her and wasn't helpful at all.
Internet in room only worked in the last 2 days of our stay. Complained since the first day but the front desk told me that it was a problem in the Internet. He insisted in this story even after I said that the Internet was working in the other rooms.
You better check every single line of your statement upon check out. They overcharged us and said that we were wrong.

We were there for five nights over new years eve. The property is stunning and the rooms are beatiful, we stayed in an overwater laggon view bungalow #8. the staff were so nice and helpful, they knew your names and were always smiling. It was much nicer than moorea and now I would not stay in moorea again
