Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by nice hotel hotel is nice, clean, front desk was great, valet was great, beds were horrible, I could feel the springs in my back, bathroom was nice, hallways had plates and glasses and room service tables in them most of the day/night, making the hallways smell like dirty food. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good location the hotel is in a good location for visiting Faneuil hall and North End. If you make any special requests when booking, you need to be conscious of the centralised booking system and the fact that your request won't get through to the local hotel. Our room configuration was not as we agreed at the booking and the hotel actually said it wasn't possible. I would not had booked the hotel if I had been told that. The hotel was busy and the housekeeping could not keep up so we had to wait before being given access to our rooms and that meant we missed out on time to do tourist things. We got complimentary drinks and breakfast as an apology but you can't get the time back. 27 August 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by You won't be disappointed... First, I'd never leave reviews for a hotel unless it was a horrible experience. However, I'm breaking my pattern and wanted to leave a very positive comment for the Boston Intercontinental. I was there for a 3-day conference and could not have been happier with my room and the friendliness of staff. The room was fantastic with a great view of the river. The bed was very comfortable (I had a single king size) and the bathroom had both a great shower and a massive bathtub...that I took advantage of. The hotel staff was extremely helpful, especially when I mentioned that I took out everything in the fridge to store my (fantastic) Chinatown leftovers...not realizing that as soon as you move the drinks off their perch, the room gets charged. They removed the charges immediately when I checked out. The location of the hotel is less than 2 blocks from South Station, which was a huge plus since I came in on the train. Checkout is at noon, which is great since many hotels require a 10 or 11 am checkout. It was nice to go out to breakfast and then leisurely check out when I got back. I would definitely stay there again! 25 August 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fab hotel Wonderful hotel, fabulous rooms and facilities. 99 per cent of staff outstanding, particularly Mark the concierge who was especially helpful and assisted us when one of our party was ill! He arranged taxi to hospital and held room in case we had to extend our stay if unable to travel home as planned. Unfortunately when we returned from hospital, he was no longer on duty so we did not get opportunity to thank him in person, please pass on our sincere gratitude. 24 August 2014

The staff was knowledgeable and incredibly pleasant and helpful - from the front desk, to the concierge team to the bellmen. The room service was fantastic and fast. The room was extremely comfortable and the location outstanding. My 9 year old thought the absolute best thing about our trip was the Intercontinental Hotel and the great people there. There is nothing this hotel could have done better. Truly exceptional. We will not stay anywhere else when we head home to Boston. 22 August 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Guest stay Upon arrival, there were gentlemen waiting at the doors to handle our luggage, valet service our car and show us to our rooms. The rooms were impeccable! Clean, comfortable and well-appointed. The concierge was remarkably informed about the locations of our interest. The restaurant was quite serviceable. Our car was retrieved with ease and well-maintained. We were pleasant and relaxed upon departure. Thank you :.)!!! 22 August 2014

Love the Italian hints this place gives out from food to décor. Great location for all Boston has to offer. Night life, sight seeing and great food. Would highly recommend this for a couples getaway. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Long Weekend in Boston A complicated booking due to some nights on IHG points and some to be paid in cash. The cash nights had been paid in advance but on check in I realised that the rate had reduced from what I had paid. The front desk staff managed this very efficiently and completely to my satisfaction. Central location, 1st class facilities and excellent staff made the visit very memorable for my wife and I. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Lovely hotel and friendly staff but disappointing This hotel wasn't cheap... The rooms were lovely, clean and a good size. The amenities were good and it was in a good position. However it was disappointing that wifi was not available for free in the rooms. Members of public gained access to free wifi when visiting the hotel facilities in the lobby, but guests who had paid for their accommodation in the hotel were charged $12+ for 10 minutes, which is quite frankly disgusting. 21 August 2014

From the moment we walked in the staff was helpful and eager to please. Planned a spa day for my wife and she absolutely loved it. I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone. The first time that I stayed here, I was upgraded to a Suite because I had been chosen as "Customer of the Day." I was so excited! This second time, I had a King guest room. I loved the bed and the bathroom. The bathroom's shower is amazing-so relaxing! The Fitness Center was immaculate! I ran on the treadmill while overlooking the gorgeous Boston views of tall buidlings, trees, and flowers. I had coffee at Miel which was being set up for breakfast. What a feast! Tons of yogurt and fresh fruit! I love the outside patio dining area for cocktails and appetizers. The staff is always accomodating and gracious! I will keep returning to this hotel! 21 August 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by No Up To IC Standards When I am greeted at the check in area by an IC employee with the words "How did you get such a low rate?" the initial impression of this property immediately sank. The valet company could not find my car even with 20 minutes advanced notice and a conversation as I checked in that I would need the car within 1/2 hour. I had joining rooms and it took 3 phone calls and 8 hours for the hotel security staff to come and unlock the rooms. On a more positive note, the location of the hotel is excellent. The hotel is clean. And the concierge was outstanding. 20 August 2014

Check in was slow as they only had one staff member at the desk when I arrived. Unfortunately, there was no soap or shampoo in the room. Did not notice this until the following morning. First time I've experienced this at a luxury hotel. 18 August 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Faces the BFD - beware light sleepers I've stayed at the IC before and loved the bar staff and well appointed, attractive rooms. For the first time, however, I was in a room facing a huge Boston Fire Department station. By 4am the first night I was sure Mrs. O'Leary's cow had reincarnated as an arsonist in Boston. I got up once to watch a fire truck roll out onto an empty street - no clear need for that amazing sound. If you go, don't request, REQUIRE a room on the quiet side of the house. If you are a light sleeper you will find this a miserable experience otherwise. 18 August 2014

Great activities right out your front door, plenty of great dining options and attentive staff that gives you all you need. We needed two roll aways and a fridge and they were more than willing to have everything sent to our room on a moment's notice. If you're considering having a conference at this property, I would highly recommend. The food is fantastic and they are incredibly flexible! Overall, great stay. 18 August 2014

The staff make your stay the concierge Marc and Jessica always go out of there way to make our time in Boston perfect. We enjoy the Club Intercontinental rooms you have access to the private club where Charles, Dagmar and the staff will make you feel relaxed and tend to your every need. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Thanks for making it right We had a great weekend at the Boston IHG. We have never stayed there before, though we visit the city often for business and pleasure. We chose to take advantage of an upgrade offer to a suite and it could not have been a more perfect setup for a family of four. We also enjoyed the pool, harborwalk and wonderful views of the harbor from our room. We are foodies, but found the hotel restaurant options to be a bit esoteric for our two kids, so did not eat in the hotel. It was great to find two upscale steak places right outside the door for when we came back at night and we had great meals. There is also a wonderful bakery on the way to South Station and a lobster place next door, so there are plenty of great options that are easy to reach from the hotel. Our check in was delayed. We felt the welcome at the front desk was chilly. Nobody was rude, it was just indifferent and as though our business didn't matter. (it was much better on checkout day) Nobody really seemed to understand why we were bothered by the delay. HOWEVER, the problem was fixed, we were sent to an immaculately clean suite and you more than made it right for us. We are very appreciative of the prompt response from Customer Care and look forward to our next stay at the IHG Boston!. The Gouin family Portland, CT 13 August 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great room. Great bar. Great location. Great overall. The downtown location overlooking the harbor was great. It was convenient to the subway and other tourist attractions. Accessible to walk the harbor. The bar area on the harbor was fun and attractive. The room was large, nice desk area, well lit reading chair, the TV was huge and wonderful, the bathroom was spacious, the shower was excellent. The valet parking was quick and easy. The elevators were fast. Overall, the hotel added to our enjoyment in Boston. 12 August 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Club Lounge and Special Welcome When you travel as much as I do for business, you look forward to your vacation time. I can really recommend the IHG at Boston, especially for its warm and friendly welcome, but most especially for its outstanding club lounge. The food at breakfast and in the evening was beautiful, freshly prepared, constantly refreshed and there was a different selection every day. This is vastly different from Executive lounges I have experienced at other hotels, where the food offering is mostly fried or bland and very limited. The lounge staff were friendly, welcoming and went out of their way to help you in any way they could. Top marks for exceptional atmosphere and service. 12 August 2014
