Overall a very pleasurable stay. The refurbished rooms are fine, though the bathrooms and older rooms are quite dated, though still functional and comfortable. The beds/pillows are excellent and a good nights sleep is guaranteed. The only tip would be to get to breakfast early as it can get quite busy and there are limited tables.

Was only here for one quick night and wish I had been able to stay longer at this property. The staff are some of the best I have encountered in a chain hotel. They could not do enough for me. The room was amazing with a massive balcony. Bathroom was spotless with every amenity you could ask for. There was only one little niggle and that was the light switch - I had to take my card out and put it back in a few times to get the lights to come on. The club lounge had an excellent assortment of hot food in the evening and again the staff were so accommodating. Overall, a great experience and I will certainly return to this property. A big thank you to all the staff for making my very quick trip a real pleasure.

Bucharest is fairly typical of a busy capital city. Traffic all around and dangerous speeding traffic as speed limits high and too high for urban safety... however crossing the road is possible at allocated crossings and there are some subways, but my advise is to take great care and don't take any risks.
In the centre of Bucharest rises the landmark building which is The Intercontinental... it is an imposing building which can be seen from quite a distance and is a comforting sight when out and about .
the Hotel is very well appointed and although not new or modern in design or furnishings it has a solid feel to it and an air of comfort and care tangible. there are four large lifts to all floors so you never have to wait long to get to your floor. The Club lounge on the 21st floor is a welcoming area, you can sit quietly and stare from the windows at the amazing view or thumb through the books , and enjoy a drink or a snack at almost anytime of day. The staff there are very attentive , or will leave you alone if that's what you prefer, but they will do anything to help with your stay

the location is great, it allowed me to see the city when i was there for business.
staff are very friendly and helpful.
i got a room in the upper floors and it gave me a great view of the city.
only drawback is the guy who passes by knocking on my room every morning to check the mini-bar, please stop that, it is annoying.
overall, my stay was great and i like it there and i would choose the hotel again.

I have stayed here about 4 or 5 times in the last 2 years and everything is great except all the beds are in need of replacement. Every bed has a dip each side and unless you sleep in the middle you tend to roll towards the outside.
Such a shame as everything else is 100%

I only stayed he because someone else did the booking but once I arrived I was delighted. Practically everything was faultless. Compared to Western Europe, the price was very economical. Hotel is centrally located making it a convenient base for exploring the city. Rooms are large and comfortable and very well equipped. In reception and restaurants the staff are attentive and knowledgeable.
I hope to return soon and would willingly stay here again and again.
