Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by No wifi We were on the ground floor without as view. Check in for our group of 6 took an inordinate time. Though we came at 5pm, we were told that one room would not be available. Only when complaining and asking to see the manager was a room mysteriously free. The main disadvantage was that the wifi did not function for all the 3 days we were there. The breakfast was good. Overall an average stay 09 March 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Exceptional Holiday We have been in this hotel several times over the years. Our last visit was in February 2014. The room on the 6th floor on the Executive level was absolutely exquisite. The beach and grounds are superior to many other facilities in Cancun. We find the staff are always extending themselves and the service is exceptional. I'd highly recommend the main restaurant at the hotel (and already have done so). Not only that you will have superb meals that the chef and staff are willing to accommodate to your personal tastes. The outside facade is not glamorous but once you enter you will be very happy with what you find. 27 February 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Bad guest services and unbearable wifi The toilet in our bathroom leaked on the floor (sewage?) during our entire stay. We notified guest services and requested a room change, however, our requests were ignored. Guest services never even called me back as I requested. As Gold IHG member, I was awarded free wifi internet. However, the quality was so poor, I was never able to use wifi in our room, requiring me to go down to the lobby to conduct my necessary business on line. Even in the lobby, the internet connection was so slow, it was almost unusable. I feel sorry for anyone who has to pay for this unacceptable poor service. Come on Presidente, even low end IHG properties provide decent wifi service gratis. 23 February 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful resort Amazing experience: the Hotel is ideally located on a perfect white sand and quiet beach but also closeby commodity and souvenir shops (5 minute walk) and Cancun's night life area (15 minute walk.) The food and beverage service on the beach is incredibly fast and of great quality. The rooms overseeing the lagoon give you great shots of the sunset but most importantly offer all you need including coffee and water bottles. Extra plus for the very comfy bed. I recommend the Club lounge for the great view it gives over the entire resort but also for the quality of its breakfast (including lots of different choices every day and welcoming staff.) Wherever you choose to spend your day in this resort, you Will feel like at home. Do not forget to have a massage on the beach. I highly recommend this property. 19 February 2014

The signs of caring in the suite are a real "plus". The Club level is a very nice space to enjoy breakfast and evening aperitif. The staff is very helpfull and friendly. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Enjoyed my stay! It was great staying at the Intercontinental Hotel, and I've enjoyed all time there. There was minor misunderstanding, but I was pleased to see General Manager working as part of reception staff (you don't see this too often!!!) and she managed to sort things immediately and professionally. Clearly, the hotel is in good hands of carrying individual! I felt welcomed and like at home. I would wish to say the same about my other stays across the chain, but this is another story. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 21 días inolvidables Nuestra estadía inolvidable : llegamos el día 14 de diciembre desde el primer día nos hicieron sentir en casa ,el personal del hotel fue en demasía amable y cordial. De los ejemplos a destacar están El Capi Oligario, quien no demoro en hacernos sentir de lo más mimados. Sólo decir que desde el inicio nos sorprendía todos los días con alguna cosa o presente en la habitación, ni hablar de la comida del restauran El caribeño del cual sólo,podemos decir que en casi todas las ocasiones que comimos no solo fuimos atendidos excelentemente sino que en muchas ocasiones nos cocinaron platos de la mano del chef del restaurant exclusivamente para nosotros. Además del cariño expresado por parte del personal del hotel qüienes consentían a los más pequeños del grupo familiar cabe destacár la amabilidad de Airis quien siempre nos atendió como sí fuéramos de la casa. Además debo destacar el excelente comportamiento del Consierge del Hotel quien en muchas ocasiones nos ayudo con las reservacíones de restaurantes fuera del hotel. Además de estar siempre a la orden para cualquier ayuda que necesitáramos. Fuimos 14 personas que estábamos en el grupo y todos coincidimos que esta estadía fue una de las mejores en años. Por ultimo nuestro agradecimiento a la Gernte del hotel en quien descansa la responsabilidad del personal a cargo y a quien felicitamos por tan excelente personal. 28 January 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Probably Cancun's Best Resort We have been coming to Cancun regularly for 35 years. We have preferred to stay at InterContinental Presidente exclusively for about the past 10 years. It is a quiet resort located on the best beach in Cancun. All areas of the resort are kept super clean and housekeeping does a very thorough job daily in cleaning the guest rooms, which are very comfortable and up to date. If you should mention an issue about anything not to your satisfaction about your room, someone will come within about 30 minutes or less to resolve the issue and you will receive a call from the front desk confirming that all is well. The staff are very professional and friendly at all levels and seem to have good morale. Food and beverage service and quality at the resort restaurants and bars is very good, and if you want to vary from the menu and customize your order, they are happy to accommodate you.Our favorite waiter, Jimmie, is very attentive and will go out of his way for you. Food and beverage service out on the beach is excellent. Although all the waiters are good and friendly, two in particular, Martine and Bernardo will always greet you by your name and remember how you like your food or beverage prepared. The concierge (or Club) level rooms have a private restaurant/lounge that serves a complimentary breakfast and early evening appetizers and drinks that is very nicely done.The waiter Gregorio and morning cook Asalya do a great job. They will greet you and remember what your likes are. with a great attitude. All the waiters in the resort report to Celso Rodrigues who is constantly hurrying from one service area to another ensuring that service is maintained at a high level. He also makes a point of interfacing with guests to make sure everything is OK. The front desk personnel are very helpful and pleasant and the concierge, Adolfo is most accommodating; he even helped me learn to properly use my I-phone. It is nice that the resort has two locations on the property that provide free use of computers.What all of the above means is that someone is doing a fine job in the overall management of the resort. A resort functions to the image of its management. I say thank you to Nathalie Urban, the General Manager who has consistently made our experience at this resort a very good one through her hands-on overseeing of all functions of the resort. Things just seem to get better each year Ms. Urban is very visible daily, and when she recognizes a repeat guest she will initiate a very friendly dialogue. When the General Manager is away on a business trip, a very capable Assistent Manager, Victorio, steps in so there is no management void.Now you know why we return at least annually. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Maybe I was expecting too much or ????? There concierge service was exellent but that's it. When I was arrived at the Cancun airport there was no shuttle to hotel. I paid 70 dollars one way. I paid 30 dollars from hotel to airport at last day. Bell mans were terribel with english and they wer not move without tips. The selection of the food in lounge at the morning and night time were so limited with local fruits that was not eatable. Smell from AC units were like never cleaned filters. Cleaning maid were not fully trained. They missed wipe out cleaning spray not only glass doors also bath tubs too. Beds linen was not pressed and touches were not good with skin. I turned all lights in and out but not bright enough. My wife found a bug near toilet but not cleaned until we call for service. See attachment picture. Doors to balcony was not sealed so it was so noisy last two windy nights. I usually enjoyed stay in intercontinantal Seoul Korea but not this one. 13 January 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Muy buen servicio Quisiera felicitarlos por mantener impecables las instalaciones del hotel presidente Cancun; donde me hospedé el fin de semana Los cuartos están muy bonitos y las camas son súper cómodas De servicio, casi todos en recepción fueron muy amables; pero sobre todo Carlos, del turno nocturno, excedió nuestras expectativas al ser amable en todo momento, estar al pendiente y hasta recordar nuestro cumpleaños Gracias a él nuestra experiencia en Cancún fue muy agradable Las únicas sugerencias que les daría para mejorar sería que calentaran el agua de la alberca un poco y que en el buffet hubiera jugos naturales porque sabían como a pintura... Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Overall a great hotel made better by great staff My wife and I stayed at the Intercontinental Presidente Cancun over Christmas and New Years. It was our first time at this hotel. I am a platinum member and was recognized as such immediately upon my arrival. With the hotel being totally full, they were unable to offer me an upgrade, however they did (Adolfo) offer me some Champagne and chocolate covered strawberries as an apology, which was fine with me and was handled very well. Our entire stay was terrific thanks not only to a great hotel, but to outstanding service. From housekeeping to waiters/bartenders to hostesses, and front desk. I would like to commend the following people for consistently great service. Bernado, Ernesto, Jesus, Jabien and Anna. These were staff members we encountered on a daily basis and they did a terrific job. We would definitely return to this location. 07 January 2014

Room in the view is very nice,comfortable,but thet has no bathtub. That is the second problem. staff is kind ,smile,nice! overall,this hotel is aged but well mentenance for staying. 06 January 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Fantastic beach and breakfasts I stayed for 11 days in December 2013. Excellent buffet breakfast, the staff looked after us very well. The beach is also excellent with plenty of sunbeds. The hotel is very clean and tidy and is well maintained. The location is within easy walking distance to bars/restaurants and short distances to airport and other areas of interest. The only downside was not getting complementary teas and coffees in the room on a daily basis, it was the first day only. I would stay again at this hotel as I did enjoy my stay very much. 01 January 2014

En general la calidad del hotel Presidente Intercontinental Cancun es muy buena; aunque si puede resaltar algo a demás de poseer una de las mejores playas del caribe. A mi me sorprendió mucho la comodidad de las camas; tenia tiempo de no dormir tan bien¡¡¡, el colchón es súper cómodo, las almohadas te arrullan :) , y el detalle de las cortinas automáticas que bloquean la luz te dejan dormir espléndidamente. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best surprise ever! Don’t be misled by its façade. Once you enter the hotel you can see it has been remodeled. The rooms are modern and nicely decorated….and have a great shower. I slept very well and was not disturbed by street noises as my room was on the lagoon side. But the best and the reason for being at this resort was the beach – wow…the best by far that I have seen in my life – and trust me, I have seen a lot beaches around the world. The staff is very caring and offer you a genuine smile. The resort was really quiet – I can’t stand the “all-inclusive” resorts, where you are surrounded with hyperactive youth, loud music and in-your-face staff… so I am glad that there are still options out there that can offer me the perfect place to unplug! Thank you Presidente Intercontinental! I highly recommend to enjoy the food served at the restaurants – top quality (try the Caribbean lobster tail!) and don’t miss the martinis prepared by Gustavo, the bartender at Tequila Bar. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Good beach location Let me start with positive thing about the hotel, the location was great, the breakfast was also good. And the help that I got from the door/baggage service was also excellent. With all these positive, I can't overcome the negative experience, I experienced from the hotel. The front desk lobby service that I got was so poor and in fact it probably the worst customer service I experienced in my life being in so many hotel. It made so angry with the situation and them not being understanding after long flight, and it was very frustrating. I don't understand why management is training them like this. And the room that we got the bed was small, and we found a spider in my room, we even have picture to prove it. With all this said, it was something that won't derail us, but service that we got from the front desk will derail us from not coming back to this hotel. Unfortunately, I don't see myself and my friends visiting back at the same hotel. 09 December 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Amazing Experience This was our first trip to Mexico and we saved the best 'till last. We checked in after an eight day trip around Mexico with lots of plans to sightsee still on the list of things to do. When we arrived at the fabulous InterContinental Cancun Beach Resort we didn't move from the place for three days!! We had everything we needed - superb beach, fabulous swimming in the many pools, terrific food - the best lobster every in my life (and I have eaten plenty in my 50 years). Even great shopping. We stayed in a fabulous room with stunning views over the ocean. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff - ideas, suggestions, things to do - but as I said we stayed in our wonderful hotel world. The vibe was great. Having spent many happy holidays in the Caribbean it was a super reminder and it didn't disappoint in the bars. Can't wait to re-visit and this time we'll stay longer!! 02 December 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Best way to assess this hotel Is to go onto the fantastic beach and then walk either right or left. Only by looking at the beach available to neighbouring hotels can you really appreciate what a fantastic location the InterConti has. And the beach is what we are really here for isn't it? The rest of the hotel is just as fantastic though - and made by the staff. Whether it's the guys serving breakfasts or complimentary cocktails in the upstairs lounge or the barman on the beach, nothing is too much trouble and all done with a smile. My wife and I had lobsters done two different ways in the restaurant one night; both delicious and maybe the best I've ever tasted - and I've eaten lobster all over the world from Sydney to London - with Aldo Zilli's lobster, chilli and chips the only real rival. Rooms are well- appointed and comfortable. Reception first class. I had an internet problem that made accessing my BA flight home boarding pass difficult. No problem at all - all sorted within minutes. So yes, a big thumbs up. Only other hotel I've stayed in that comes up to this standard recently was the Hotel Arts in Barcelona and the prices there make your eyes water! Enjoy! 26 November 2013

A comfortable room, very quiet, I could sleep well throughout my stay. My daughters were delighted with the pool and the beach. The breakfast buffet has excelent food. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Lovely beach experience, great property, HARD bed This is on the very best part of cancun beach, tranquil seas, shallow waters out to 100 yards, great beach traditional style sun shades, nice pool area. The room we had on the 5th floor overlooking the beach was superb, except in one item. The BED. It is HARD. It is a kind of solid piece of mostly unforgiving foam that does not at all provide a welcoming experience. Other than that item, This was a memorable holiday. 23 November 2013
