Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great location on Magnifcant Mile Great location to shop. Also the Navy Pier is in walking distance, straight down Illinois street to the Pier. I would not order room service again, the food was very rare and the french fries were cold. The bar only has sweet wines no great brand wines. Very disappointing. The Concierge desk does not communicate with the front desk so the lack of communication is frustrating. I would not bring a child to this hotel again, but my husband and I will stay here. Only because the pool is not child friendly. 14 November 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not the best value for the money Although the staff was nice, and the room comfortable, we were less than impressed with the fact that we had to pay so much to park. A guest should be offered to park for free. No ice machines could be found....anywhere! The noise coming from a reception hall above or below kept us up till 1am. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by My Stay The ENTIRE experience ... from check-in to check-out ... was nothing short of pleasurable. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and seemed to care very much for the guests. What made it even better was that some of the staffed dressed in costumes given it was Halloween. The ladies at Concierge, whose names I wish I could remember, were most helpful in recommending good restaurants. My room was spacious. The bed was extremely comfortable as were the pillows. The view was okay but I don't look at that as a pro or a con. The hotel's domestics kept the room clean although I have a habit of treating a hotel room the same way I treat my own home. I am in tune with ecology so the towel situation was always fine. I also love the Starbucks being off the hotel. And, what's even better is that I was on Michigan Ave. close to good dining and excellent shopping. The grade is an A++ since the stay at the hotel added to all the fun I had visiting with friends for the wedding weekend. 13 November 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The Perfect Wedding Venue! The service level was fantastic and our sales representative went beyond the call of duty to ensure that our event ran smoothly. The food was amazing, and we had several chefs as our guests - and they all were quite impressed. This historic meeting rooms and ballrooms make this hotel extra special. Overall - this venue helped make our daughter's wedding unforgettable. 10 November 2014

My hubby and I stayed last minute for a weekend getaway on a very busy weekend for the area that was exacerbated by Lake Shore being closed, stranding people in the city. We got the last room available, which was a nice room and we were glad to have it, but it was a double and we would have preferred a King. When things cleared up the next day, the manager upgraded us to a very nice suite for our second night out of apology, even though it was of no fault of the hotel staff that a) we booked last minute or b) the weather changed and caused over crowded conditions in the North Shore area. We had a great stay, located right across from the Nordstom's entrance, and wonderful restaurants and services, literally, this location is in the middle of all the action on the Magnificent Mile. Lawry's Steak House, a favorite of ours from our years in Dallas, TX, had a location right around the corner. Don't look for their famous bourbon pecan pie though, it's not served in this location, tends to be regional I guess. Will definitely stay here again. 10 November 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Historical Building Swimming pool and the restaurants are excellent. Hotel is big and right in Downtown. You can access any major attraction by bus or subway. It is a very good choice. 08 November 2014
