America's Money
Did you know America's money is printed in Fort Worth, Texas? The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) operates two facilities - one in Washington, DC, and one in Fort Worth, TX. Take a tour of the facility and see millions of dollars being printed. The tour features the various steps of currency production, beginning with large, blank sheets of paper, and ending with wallet-ready bills.
Fort Worth
Fort Worth, Texas has the only daily Longhorn cattle drive in the US. Daily cattle drives begin at 11am and 4pm.
Frozen margarita
The frozen margarita was invented in Dallas on May 11, 1971 by Dallas restaurateur Mariano Martinez. Martinez modified a soft-serve ice-cream machine into the first frozen margarita machine. It is now displayed in the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History.
