We stayed 5 days at the Altrium Suite at the Danang Sun Peninsula Resort for our wedding anniversary and were enthralled from the moment we checked in. The resort overlooks a private bay and is designed to maximize enjoyment of the gorgeous sea view. The rooms are spread over four levels, heaven, sky, earth and sea. A funicular connects the reception to all levels and the beach.
The decor in the suite is exquisite. The bed faces ceiling to wall french windows so you awake to the sound and view of the waves. The balcony includes a sitting area, a day bed as well as a tall dining table. The dining table perched at the edge of the balcony provides a gorgeous view whilst we dined. It was one of the most romantic dinner settings we have experienced.
The service was impeccable in all areas of the resort. I fell sick on the 2nd day and a nurse visited daily to check on my temperature and prescribed medication. Every staff we spoke to in the resort was aware that it was our wedding anniversary and made it a very memorable occasion. We will definitely be back!

From the stunning views, to the available facilities this resort offers everything you could wish for. However, it is not perfect...yet ! The staff are very friendly but some of their knowledge is lacking, the Barefoot Cafe was mediocre in both service and food. However, these are really minor quibbles and the good outweighs the not so good heavily.
The Sunday champagne brunch at Citron was wonderful and the dinner at 1888 excellent.
Despite this being a relatively large resort you never feel that it is crowded; the pools are peaceful and relaxing and the beach is so big that you do not need to be in close proximity to anyone else.
This is a resort that we will go back to time and time again.

I would like to suggest the hotel Management team to fully understand how provide the service to the guest who stay here for vacation, and this is not hotel focus on business travel.
The staff need more training and Management team should have good attitude. they should know if the hotel use wood floor, they would not let the guest check in at 3:00 in the morning and as neighbor have people stay, this is really terrible.
When the check in the General Manager have no idea for no double bed room for two adult man and we have had to pay another room.
I never recommend our guest ( I own the travel agent company ), my friends and also myself go back this hotel if the hotel have no improve, also I would like to show this bad case in public media and Internet media.

We visited over CNY. The hotel is wonderful. Staff are inexperienced and need considerable language training, BUT they are willing and friendly.
I must warn you though, they aren't always recognizing Ambassador status. I'd booked a Premium Resort room through IHG. 3 days before the trip I check on line and they had assigned us the Atrium Suite in line with my Ambassador membership providing a guarantee upgrade. However when we got there we were told that the hotel was full and that all we could have was 10% off F&B spend OR accept a resort room rate with the 'upgrade' into the Premium room.
Once I showed that we had been assigned the room a few days before our arrival, we were then offered 15% discount AND the lower room rate. But not the room we'd been assigned as they had given it away and were now full.
While the room allocation part is very disappointing and the only response Ive had is from IHG not from the hotel mgmt directly, our overall experience was very good and we would go back.
Upon our departure I asked the front office mgr to email with availability for Easter, but one week later I've not heard from him on that either.
There is still much improvement needed but the location, the rooms, the beach and the pools are excellent. Just don't go expecting to have your Ambassador 'guaranteed' upgrade and be prepared for management who obviously just pay lip service to the idea of customer care.

Absolutely gorgeous resort - immaculately maintained, perfect setting and incredible rooms! The resort is in an isolated and beautiful location. This is what makes it special. However, although there is a shuttle service to Danang and Hoi An (an absolute must-see), the resort would benefit from some kind of on-site convenience store. Guests are otherwise totally dependent on the mini-bar and room service - the range is adequate but food generally is quite expensive at the resort, and room service portions are small. There were a few glitches with service, and communication between staff could be improved. We did however thoroughly enjoy our experience and will be back!

Beautifully designed hotel. Great facilities. Remote location, very quiet. Good for a short stay to relax and unwind. Breakfast hall is amazing, especially the 'pod' seats outside. Bed very good and room spacious.

as the floors are most in hard wood in this resort, I strongly recommend that the concierge staff are trying their best to control the noise when moving in luggage during the midnight. you could put in temporary carpet to reduce the noise, and control your voice, shut the door close slowly....

Love the scenery and the overall resort design. The tram and citron restaurant are some remarkable experience.
Staff are friendly especially those in the restaurants.
Breakfast in Citron can improve a bit as the food is not hot enough and variety was not exceptional. The Vietnam coffee was great though!
Room service food quality was a bit disappointing.
Overall, this is a remarkable resort.

i booked this resort because My sister and her husband flew in from Uk to meet us there.We live in Australia, My sister is not to well and I wanted to treat her to the WOW factor, I cried when I saw her face when we pulled up in the drive way of the Hotel, I was expecting a nice Hotel but this was more than that this was a little slice of Heaven on Earth, we were treated like The Royal family and I am so thankful for that, she can now tick that off her bucket list, I could not fault this place, and the staff became extend family, Every corner you turn something else to see, even going to the bathrooms was a treat, the bars, rooms, all over the Hotel, anyone who wants to spoil there family book this Hotel you will not be disappointed, WELL DONE STAFF, this is how a Hotel should be run, and trust me I work for Hotel here in Australia and your Hotel puts it to shame.

This is my first time in this Danang Sun Peninsula Resort.
We very enjoy our stayed with great services of the staffs, the resort has fanstactis architeture, wonderfully located with the beach, every room has good view of the ocean and nice beach to swimming on. I strongly recomment this place to all other of my friends, I would definitely stay here again when is a chance.

Great experience staying with InterCon, lovely room, lovely restaurants especially La Maison 1888, unforgettable dining experience, have been trying star restaurants all over the world, and found this one in Danang impressive.
staff attentive and butler very quick response, only one thing which is some staff might not have good hotel knowledge and transportation or local attraction information, it's ok to take some time, however if it could be a little bit quicker that would be fantastic. like I was at the citron asking for shuttle bus service, there was one girl who cannot answer my questions or any intention to help me to ask, but guarding me to go to the reception or concierge to ask by myself, that's a bit not professional in the customer's eyes to be honest, and that's why i am expecting from InterCONTINENTAL the world famous group service.
other than the above, we had a great stay at your hotel and would highly recommend our friends to stay in the future and would love to come again if we plan to visit Danang again.

We really enjoyed our stay though the weather in the winter was not that good. The hotel is just beautiful, spacious room, nice design and good facilities. The staff are all very helpful and friendly. They kindly prepared a birthday cake and a bottle of champagne on my birthday!
The hotel is away from the town so we needed to take shuttle bus to go to the town and other destinations. That is the only inconvenience but it also means it is quiet in the hotel and you can really stay in the nature.

It's worth it just to see the fantastic architecture and view. It's a little bit secluded and out of the way, but it was a perfect getaway. We didn't want to leave by the end so if that's what you're looking for, this is a great place for it. The sand on the resort's beach was very white and soft and the resort offered many daily activities.
We also had a romantic dinner prepared for us on the beach which was a very memorable evening, there was BBQ, bonfire, and even a chap with a guitar just for us!
The only comments I would have would be the lack of variety in food throughout the resort, on the flip side you could get the same dish at either of the restaurants or in your room. The taste was average even at La Maison 1888. I was expecting to be blown away by a menu prepared by a Michelin starred chef but was left wanting for more.
The service was alright, though we could never be sure if we were going to get a buggy if we called one, it takes a while and kept getting taken by other guests. Priorities should be given to those who actually ordered one.
We also had problems with the in-room entertainment. The system kept crashing, some movies on offer couldn't be watched, either that or it wasn't in English (and without subtitles). There was also a limited choice in songs, especially international/English music (oddly enough it was mostly Christmas music), the only reason we cared was because the iPod docking system in our room didn't work.
Apart from those things, it was a very pleasant stay.

First off the property and the rooms are stunning. Everybody I met agreed on that. What we also agreed on was that the resort is unfinished and the staffed is undertrained. We were surprised to find jack hammering for a couple of hours during the middle of the day. Even with all the windows closed we could hear it. Sounds asides the staff knew only the very basic English. It was impossible to ask questions like, "Are any of the pools heated?" or "Which cocktail do you recommend?". It became apparent we couldn't communicate with the staff. Which severely limited the level of service. The food is expensive, even for western standards, let alone Vietnam standards. The main problem is the food doesn't really justify the price tag. We didn't find it all too impressive. If I were to guess I would think that this facility is behind schedule and to offset the cost of building it they are renting out a portion of the rooms. It would explain the construction, lack of training with the staff, and surprisingly low occupancy rate.

A luxurious, relaxing and very comfortable stay. A beautifully designed resort that captures the wonderful beach, water and mountain. The rooms are superbly fitted and enjoy the sea views. Very good dining options which are well priced. Very attentive and courteous staff . The free shuttle bus to Danang city centre and Hoi An is very worthwhile.

The whole hotel layout was surreal - taking a funiculur to the beach side and pool was amazing. The beach bar was so funky with bed and swing. Dinner was superb only disappointed with swiss roll for dessert, wine was expensive. The provision of free shuttle to hoi an and danang was great service. But the Spa was too expensive to indulge in. Had a great time with the family and if I am in Danang again, this is the only hotel that I will stay in - maybe at a better time of year. It was foggy and cold when we were there - a bit dismal.
