LOCAL CULTURE

Hoi An

Hoi An is Vietnam’s most charming and atmospheric town, an old port city that has remained remarkably well preserved for hundreds of years. A stroll through the city’s lantern-lit old town, along winding lanes, temples and Chinese shophouses is a romantic journey to the past. Hoi An (then called Lam Ap Pho) was the main trading port of the Cham Empire from the 2nd to the 14th centuries. The city rose to prominence again in the 16th century under the Nguyen Lords and became a major economic center. Chinese, Japanese and traders from Europe all played a role in the city’s development, giving it a uniquely international flavor. Today, Hoi An’s historic charm coexists with abundant shopping and chic modern restaurants, making it a top tourist destination and a culinary haven. 0

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 airport lounge I've already sent out the following message to info@icdanang.com on July 8th. So far, there is no feedback at all. Dear the person in charge, First off, I've enjoyed staying in your hotel from July 3rd to July 7th and came back to home. I could spend great time while staying there with family. In the meantime, I would like to point out the followin to improve your hotel service in order to maximize customers' satisfaction. I've got the letter to notify that you have the lounge at airport with some snack menu, beverages and free wi-fi, which was great to know. Therefore I've late-checked out on July 7th and went to the airport around 7:00 pm eventhough my flight leaves at 10:50 pm. The thing is there was no sign or notice at all at the airport. I've asked several people there but nobody knew. Finally one lady informed that that lounge is at the domestic airport, not international. I don't know if she was right or not but anyway I couldn't find any lounge at international airport and no sign or notice. Also don't know if there is any point if the lounge is at domestic terminal. I had to spend two or three hours just doing nothing in the airport terminal. I would have arrived there not that earlier if I knew the lounge was at domestic terminal. It would be much better for you to notify which terminal the lounge is located. also there should be some more detailed sign or notice to inform where the lounge is located inside the terminal. otherwise, it is much better to inform its details when checking-out. Hope it is helping for your hotel to improve your service going forward. 09 July 2014
