RECOMMENDATIONS

THE PERFECT DAY

MORNING

Start your day with a perfect power breakfast at the Hotel's alpine Brasserie, Capricorn. From its terrace, a scenic path leads down to Davos beautiful natural lake. Take a long walk, feed the ducks and swans or stop to watch the quite curious little squirrels in the neighbouring Seehornwald woods. Hit the city around Davos Platz and have a look at Ernst Ludwig Kirchner's beautiful paintings of Davos. The German avant-garde painter of the famous artist club "Die Brücke" came Davos for convalescence marked by the First World War. The Kirchner Museum is dedicated to his impressive art and the 20 years he spent in the Davos Alps.

AFTERNOON

Stop for a light lunch at Kaffee Klatsch, which has established itself as one of Davos must-sees and offers delicious coffee creations and homemade delicacies just off Promenade street. Afterwards put your hiking boots on and take the Schatzalpbahn to the famous setting of "The Magic Mountain", a book written by German novelist Thomas Mann. Do not forget to see the "Alpinum", a beautifully arranged botanical garden, when you reach the top. On your way back try some local produce specialties at "Bündner Land Davos". These are also perfect as souvenirs from Graubünden.

EVENING

Begin a promising evening with an aperitif in Davos new Hotspot, Studio Grigio, a bar and fine-dining restaurant with panoramic mountain views on the 10th floor on top of the hotel. Let a romantic horse sleigh ride whizz you away through Davos winter wonderland and the fantastic scenery of its neighbouring Dischma valley. Let your perfect day finish at the local Teufi Restaurant, famous for its Swiss cheese fondue and set in a traditional "Walserhaus", a historic block house.
