The beds and pillows were very comfortable the helped to have a very good sleep. The only problem is a construction nearby, sometime the noise would be enough to wake me up during the nights, this didn't happen all night though, the rooms have good noise insulation.

The rooms are very spacious and very well decorated. The breakfast selection was very limited but overall the Hotel is one of the best I stayed at in Doha. Highly recommend.

Had a great 2 night stay at the Intercontinental Doha The City.
Excellent customer service, amazing rooms, great facilities and good food.
Had no issues and would definitely stay here again.

We stayed for 2 days at Intercontinental The City in Qatar in Aug 2014 to celebrate our wedding anniversary, it was a wonderful experience. The Square Dining Restaurant chef had made special butter chicken which was excellent flavour. Housekeeping and Valentine parking staff were cooperative enough. Square Dining Restaurant had plenty of food. The only disappointment I had was on the day of check out our room was locked automatically at 12:00pm, I called the front desk reception to send someone to unlock our room. The staff over there was rude telling we are extremely busy and you must come down and unlock the access key. Staff should be capable of multi tasking during rush time. Nothing more.

We had booked a Club suite for our stay with the promise of separate check-in in the Club Lounge on Level 45 and all the extras included and provided for in the Club Lounge such as breakfast, all day coffee/tea, etc, afternoon tea and evening canapés and drinks from 6.30 to 9 pm. When we arrived to check in we were not taken to the Club Lounge but had to queue at the main reception desk. When we were finally served we were told the Club Lounge was closed during Ramadan and that we were not entitled to any extras as it was Ramadan. Some (not all) entitlements were clarified later but only after many enquiries from us.
It was disappointing that when booking and paying for a Club Suite direct through the InterContinental’s website they did not have the courtesy to inform us that the Lounge would be closed for Ramadan and that we would not be entitled to everything Club suites normally include (and that we had paid for). If we wanted a drink we were only permitted to have it delivered by room service to our suite and then we had to pay for it, a beer cost the equivalent of approximately $10.00 which would normally have been included in the Club Lounge.

5 Sterne Hotel mit hervorragendem Service. Zimmer war einwandfrei und immer gut und sauber hergerichtet. Zum Hotelbetrieb kann ich nur positives vermelden. Enttäuschend waren die Gastronomie-Betriebe. Qualität entspricht nicht einem 5 Sterne Hotel.

The nicest place in Qatar combines luxury with peace. Very polite staff. The duty manager is so helpful. I really recommend this hotel to anyone who like quietness.

Gym had nice equipment and was on the 46th floor which offered lovely views of the city. Pool was also on the 46th floor but was a little small given the number of people typically using it.
Bar was less impressive. No draught beer! :-(

Stayed in the InterContinental for several weeks,whilst starting a new work engagement.Staff and service were truly remarkably good.Nothing was an issue,with friendly,knowledgable staff always keen to be of service.Would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Overall good hotel that looked after me well. It is in the middle of the city with good road access. Currently building work all around it however this did not impact in the stay at all.
Only two issues of note - NON SMOKING room has been used as a smoking room in the past and it is very noticeable and there seemed to be confusion on the room charges so check the mini bar bill.
Apart from that I would have no hesitation in recommending.

Pleasant staff at check in desk, very professional and listens to the needs of us customers. I was sick when checking in and the lady at the front desk was very pleasant and offered help to provide medical support if needed and great comfort in the room.

I was hoping to have a nice time in the hotel like in my previous visits. Unfortunately this did not happen due to insufficient platinum guest recognition and denial to access club lounge, finding staff sleeping in your room floor while checking in . Food in the restaurant was not good on couple of occasions during my stay. All in all it was not an enjoyable experience.

I already indicated that the Room was dated and appeared to be old. Also, the Room did not provide for enough Electrical Oulets and the ones that were there did not work properly.
Regarding the Bill upon checkout, I was disappointed to see the comment "Cash Advance" on my my Bill. I wanted to pay for a Hotel Taxi to the Airport, it was not a "Cash Advance" and in my view you should find a way to reslove that. I turn in receipts to my Company for reimbursment and I do not want to have to explain the reason for the "Cash Advance" on my Bill.

As I am a frequent visitor to Doha the City hotel 8 times for the last 12 months, I have asked the front office for the possibility of having access to The Club on the 46 floor (I usually have this free of charge at Dubai Festival City even without asking for it) the answer was " yes you can with cost of 300 QR per day" I have no comment.

I had a confirmed booking for a double king bed. I checked in at the hotel only to find out when I got to the room that I was given a twin bed room. I was not told this at check in. When I called to ask for a room change to a double bed as per my booking, I was told the hotel was fully booked. Not sure how can my double bed confirmation disappear. For sure my room was given to someone else. When I insisted on getting a double bed i was then given one. Which means the hotel was not really fully booked. This is disappointing and not a Intercontinental Hotel standard practice and procedure.

My third time on this hotel. Definatly one of the best hotels i stay in. STAFF is so professional. Club lounge team Maja, Sarah top class. Karen in main reception is top class. Restarant manager in the steakhouse and his team excellent to say the least. Highly recommended in all ways for both value and quality. Keep up the good job.

I work for the Qatar Foundation and I am staying now several month in this hotel. The rooms are comfortable and big. Overall it is a good place to stay because it is central located and close to the city center mall, where I can buy my groceries. Internet has sometimes its problems.
