Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent service in Club Lounge This was my first experience of the Intercontinental City Hotel, Doha. During my previous visits, I had stayed at a nearby competitor hotel, but that was fully booked for the duration of this visit. The room in the Intercontinental on the 44th floor was large and comfortable with a splendid king sized bed and great views. The room configuration was slightly unusual, with the shower compartment being separate from the main bathroom and being directly accessible from the bedroom. Furniture and fittings were of uniformly good quality. Staff in the Club Lounge were very helpful and approachable. Karen in particular offered a genuine welcome on each visit. I was a little disappointed with the restaurants and tended to eat out of the hotel on most evenings. Overall, a very comfortable and enjoyable experience - i will certainly consider booking accommodation here for my next visit. 26 January 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent location and beautiful hotel I recommend this hotel for oil and gas professionals who might come to Doha for a quick business trips. As most of the oil companies are located around the West Bay area, the last thing you need is to spend your short day stuck in the traffic jams of Doha and being late for your meetings. The hotel is very elegant inside out, and the staff are very friendly. I strongly recommend this hotel for business visitors. 18 January 2015

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good service with few areas of improvement Intercontinental Doha the City is a good choice for its location, considerate treatment of individual guest preferences and highly trained and motivated staff. Food quality remains outstanding. However, the food selection in menus can now be updated after quite a few years since they have been introduced. Hotel interiors give a feeling of comfort and freshness. Even the smaller areas are cleverly designed. The high floor swimming pool and gym have an exceptional view. In room AC remains a concern. It doesn't adjust the room temperature. Rather, it keeps cooling down at all times, even when switched off. It is probably a fit for harsh Middle East summers but it makes a less comfortable room in winters despite the hotel management's all other attention to details. 15 January 2015
