A great family holiday with wonderful weather and facilities. The staff where friendly and offered an room upgrade from being a IHG member which was warmly appreciated. Very accomodating to our sons request to feed the fish and turtles with stale bread. Lagoonarium was a wonderful safe experience for snorkelling and the swimming pools very relaxing, whilst evening shows quite colourful and entertaining. We will return soon!!

Everything is in accordance with the high standard of the Intercontinental Hotels. The location is superb, the garden lagoon is a great idea.

We spent one night here just as a layover on the way back home and they really did a great job in making us feel welcome, even giving us an upgrade to one of the nicest over-water bungelow's, 512. I went for a dive off the back, rinsed in the outdoor shower and we then relaxed watching the sunset on the deck. The room was great and the bathroom had plenty of room.
The service was outstanding and very friendly. They arranged transport to and from the airport and arranged for us to eat in the city center at the Roulotte at Vaiete which was a fun diversion (I had the steak frites) and then we walked down to the Tres Brassieres which is like a Micro brew, had a cigar and watched a group of 6 perform rap in French and they were very good!!!! There are a fair amount of homeless on the sidewalks and it is a city center so be prepared for that around the Roulotte there are so many people that it feels very safe and fun to people watch..

We stopped at IC Tahiti on our way to Bora Bora. Short drive from the airport. Very friendly staff. Received instant upgrade due to Ambassador membership, room with a fantastic view of the ocean, OWBs and incredible landscaping! Very good way to start our vacation and would definitely recommend it!

I am a resident of French Polynesia and whenever I visit the islands of Tahiti or Moorea the Intercontinental properties are always my first choice. The well-kept, beautiful grounds and pool areas are wonderful, I really enjoy them during my visits. The food is always consistently good and the rooms are clean, cool and relaxing. ALWAYS my go to hotels when visiting!

This hotel could be seen as an overnight stay before going onto other islands nearby. The standard of cuisine is truly international, nothing comes close to matching the quality of the food and service. Take more time to spend more than just transit night at this hotel and you won't be disappointed!

I sent a photo of a sunset over the bungalows to colleagues suffering back at work...and caused a near riot!
This is unlike any other InterContinental I've visited in South America, the U.S.A., etc.! I was welcomed with fresh fruit juice and escorted to my room. It was clean and comfortable. The balcony was large and had a wonderful view of the entire lagoon and Moorea.
I was surprised to see shirtless bellhops in the lobby mopping the floors and cleaning windows the first morning, but that some of what makes THIS InterContinental so unique and wonderful. I was born and raised in Hawai'i, but this is different --and very special.
I most enjoyed snorkeling the lagoon with the colorful tropical fish. They seemed to be as eager to see who I was -- as I was to see them!
Tahiti Nui is not a place you visit "every day." It is special. I've been to 40+ countries and stayed in hotels over 150 days last year. This location and property is unique! I hope to return again and again!

Our over water bungalow was very nice; terrific view, great bed, the bathroom needed updating but was servicable.
We had dinner in the fine dining restaraunt which was suberb! Very plesant wait staff and the food was well worth the price.
Andrew and Eloise from the concierge staff could not have been more helpful.
Overall a great stay.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by bobbylobby Great Time, Close Access to the Airport
the view from our room was excellent, we could see the sea and the beautiful green from the terrace. Although the way to our room was a little bit complicated and a little far from the lobby, but it was not that big matter. In addition, what was good about this hotel is its location. It locates near the air port, and we really felt it was convenient. Overall, we had a very good experience there. Thank you.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by ShannonG19 Beautiful property, amazing service, unforgettable experience!
My husband and I spent nine days at the Intercontinental Resort Tahiti and had a wonderful experience. The staff was incredibly friendly and caring. They were knowledgeable when we asked questions about the property and the island, and it felt like they were personally invested in ensuring that we had a great time during our stay. My husband and I frequently found ourselves commenting on how clean every aspect of the property was, consistently. The grounds were pristine and we saw groundskeepers around the clock diligently caring for the property. Our stay greatly outdid our expectations, and we will not just recommend, but insist, that our friends stay there when they visit Tahiti.

It was an Amazing experience staying at the Intercontinental Tahiti Resort Hotel. The Comfort and class of ammenities were way above the ranking Hotel class. Everything, from the restaurants to the beach and pool accesses and usage were an experience that would be remembered for a long time. Thank you all that contributed for such a smooth, comfortable and mind free stay at Tahiti.

My partner and I just spent 10 amazing nights at intercontinental and thalasso spa bora bora. As a same sex couple we wanted to celebrate our love and commitment while feeling accepted. The head concierge Laure was fabulous and had everything arranged perfectly. She was so professional yet very personable and gave us a wedding we will never forget.
The water bungalows are decorated to a high standard optimising the views etc. we loved ours !
The food was the equivalent of dining in a top restaurant every evening, aided by Alain the food and beverage manager who never failed to stop at our table and make sure everything was ok and we had all we needed. He was excellent !
All the staff were so friendly from the ladies who cleaned our bungalow to Magnolia in the morning who made omelettes and poached egg to perfection.
In short this is a dream location and the hotel does not disappoint. Highly recommended !

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Honeymoonrs Not at level I expected for price
I tend to not write reviews and generally not too picky a traveler. The stay was subpar especially given cost of beach bungalow. The room was " beach" but pretty far from it. Other than bellhops who were nice, several issues with service which I wouldn't expect given that it was a honeymoon trip. Also they seem to nickel and dime everything. I have stayed at intercontinental before but lost respect for franchise after experience. Bottom line: only redeeming of quality of hotel is location by water and free wifi.

The Supervisor Rainue was super nice and handled with patience and thoroughness in rearranging my many changes with my itineraries. He was always very pleasant and never got frustrated.
The concierges were very patient in trying to rearrange my bookings for airlines and hotels even on the sundays when air and hotel res were closed...this is French Polynesia.

Our stay at the Intercontinental exceeded expectations at every level. The hotel lobby and reception area was breathtaking. Each member of the hotel staff was cordial, knowledgeable, and eager to serve. The rooms and furnishings were stylish, clean, and accommodating to our every need. The setting, of course, was magnificent and the surroundings impressive. We pre-paid for the breakfast buffet every morning of our stay and were delighted with the quality and variety of fruits, breads, and breakfast foods. Restaurant service was pleasant and unhurried, as we have come to expect in the culture of French Polynesia. We would not hesitate to re-book if we return to Moorea. Thank you for playing a part in making our trip unforgettable.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by YanV Worst ever
Probably the most awful experience I had in all my life in any kind of hotels, from hostels to luxury.
Didn't feel welcome since beginning. I've been assaulted at breakfeast, 10 min after checkin and 24h hours flight.
Got many unaswered questions and request.
Had to deal with some unpleasant staff.
Always understaffed reception, have to wait for long even for quick need.
Only the view, gardens, pool are appreciable. Rooms pretty good.
In summary I've been happy to leave the place.

We stayed at this location on the first night of our honeymoon. We were supposed to get a honeymoon gift, but I am not sure if we did. When we questioned the front desk regarding it they didn't have a clue as to what we were talking about. Otherwise that, the hotel is beautiful. Breakfast was great. They have a nice size swimming pool. Check in was a mess. We had a transfer service from the airport to the hotel and it was a coach bus. It seemed like the coach bus dumped us all at once and the front desk could not handle so many people at the same time. It took forever. Probably the worst check in I've ever experienced.

We stayed two nights prior to a cruise and one night post.
Two rooms where booked, one with twin beds (for my son and daughter) and one with a double.
During the check-in I confirmed with the staff that one of the rooms had twin beds, on arriving at the room they discovered it was a double bed. A call to reception was made only to be told that as housekeeping had gone for the evening and nothing could be done until morning. Not what two siblings who were not that impressed about having to share a room wanted to hear. I went to reception and after checking that there were no other rooms available the two reception staff went to the room and managed to split the beds. This was now about 2:30am.
Our room was tired. Holes in the shower walls and a shower hose /head that would not stay on the wall bracket. The room we had been given was overlooking the runway threshold so we were woken twice with late night departures.
Post cruise we were given rooms close to the main pool and restaurant, the music from the Saturday evening cultural show was extremely loud but did finish around 10:30pm, only for us to be woken at 7:30am with the entertainment for the Sunday Brunch.
If you are staying here insist on a room away from the airport and pool area and be carefull of falling shower heads.
