CHEESE FONDUE
With cheese fondue, drink only white wine or hot tea to avoid stomachaches.
PUBLIC TRANSPORT
If you intend to use public transport, don't forget to buy your ticket at the bus stop as you won't be able to do it on board. Special Tip: if you are a frequent traveller to Geneva, it is worth considering buying a Half Fare Card, which entitles you to 50% discount on regular fares on trains.

Currency
Euros are accepted everywhere, even in taxis, however it is advised that you exchange some money into Swiss Franc to benefit from a better exchange rate.
Electric adaptor
The electric adaptor in Switzerland is unique.
Schengen Visa
Being close to the French Alps it would be a shame to miss the beauty of places such as Mont Blanc, Yvoire and Evian. Before you arrive check whether you require a Schengen Visa to cross the border.
Winter
If you are coming by car in Winter, you should make sure to have snow tyres.
