Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Stay This was my first stay at an InterContinental and this hotel was impressive. Close to the airport, plenty of places to eat and friendly staff. The only minus would be the shuttle from the airport which was dispatched only after I called. The hotel's website lead me to believe that the shuttle ran on a schedule. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great stay We enjoyed this hotel and chose it based in its proximity to the airport. The staff was friendly, the rooms were clean and very modern. The restaurants had a good food selection and the bar had a live jazz salsa band that set the mood just right. Not to far a walk from the local "things to do" and security is always near by even though I didnt pick up a hint of there being a major need to security. 01 July 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by BEST OPTION in GUATEMALA CITY Una estadía extraordinaria. Hacía un par de años no iba a Guatemala y volví al hotel InterContinental, el cual siempre había ido. El hotel ha cambiado mucho y para bien! Felicidades a los administradores por los cambios realizados ya que le dan un aire más vivo y moderno al que recordaba. El hotel esta ESPECTACULAR. Han renovado muchas áreas como el lobby y el Bar, ahora llamado MAYA. Los restaurantes con servicio y comida excepcional. Recomiendo la pizza 4 estaciones del Picasso y la Hamburgues Gourmet (la cual puedes elegir tu los ingredientes) del The Market. El desayuno también buenísimo, especialmente la panadería mmmmm El Spa tiene precios muy asequibles para un masaje después del trabajo. Si duda seguirá siendo mi 1era opción en Guatemala City! Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Staff doesn't speak English The front desk staff didn't really understand English, and didn't understand my room request. It was very hard to adequately communicate. The points promised for Platinum membership were never posted. Several times within a couple of hours each day staff knocked on my door but could not communicate because they did not speak any English. The mini bar could not be plugged in... so nothing was cold. The concierge couldn't set up a simple tour and confirm price, I never felt the comfortable feeling of an IHG hotel the entire time I was there. 25 June 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Average Everything in the hotel was good, except for the in-room access to the Internet, The problem never got resolved even after getting the IT Manager involved. Over an hour to download 13 e-mails - none of them with an attachment. I was there for business and needed access to do work. One person who stood out was Ingrid in the restaurant. Extremely attentive and helpful in recommending food choices. 23 June 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Special observations To whom it may concern, I stay at the Intercontinental Guatemala hotel at least once a month, therefore I became a Gold Member of the IHG Rewards programme. As far as I know this status provides me with the right to have accxess to the executive lounge and get breakfast there with no charge.However, last week I asked for that privilege when I did the check-in and it was simply denied to me with no valid arguments. I asked the person at the front desk to verify that for me and keep me posted, but I never got feedback in regards to this. As a result of this I had breakfast at the restaurant "The Market" for which I was charged and treated not as a Gold member. This is not because I like status and I think I deserve a special treatment, however it is important for you as a service provider to be consistent in your policies with clients. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by ESTADIA MUY AGRADABLE Y SATISFACTORIA Una estadìa que llenò todas nuestras espectativas, un excelente confort en las habitaciones, ya que nos fue adjudicada una Junior Suite, muy agradable y còmoda, pero por razones particulares decidimos una de 2 camas, y fuimos acomodados en 8.o Nivel, tambien muy agradable.Atenciòn de camarera Karin, excelente.Su zona de relax gimnasio,piscina y wirpool magnificos-el ùnico consejo que nos atrevemos de compartir- es que la piscina necesita un poco mas dedicaciòn a su limpieza, especial cuando ha sido utilizada por menores.La gastronomìa excelentìsima, y atenciòn optima en The Market, agradable y completo desayuno, felicidades.Recomendaremos incondicionalmente y esperamos regresar. 20 April 2014

Une vez más el hotel demuestra su clase superior al mantener los estándares elevados que hacen a los asiduos volver una y otra vez.
