It was an excellent stay. Was very pleased with the rooms/bed/pillows and the size of the bathrooms.
Had an excellent experience the night we arrived. We ate at the coffee shop and we were attended to in a very efficient and friendly manner. The food we ordered was excellent. Our waitress that evening was also the supervisor at the breakfast buffet --very friendly, helpful and she provided lots of informative suggestions for our stay (her name escapes me at the moment).
The dinner we had at the Saigon restaurant on the 2nd floor on day 4 was just so-so. Maybe because the restaurant was so full, being the eve of New Year, the dishes came out too many all at the same time thus some of the dishes were already cold. Taste-wise, I wish I could say it was outstandingly delicious, but that was not the case.
Otherwise my overall experience at your hotel was excellent. Thank you.

Almost all the staff that we met were very polite. They always smiled to us and greeted us first whenever they met us. This made us feeling quite comfortable and relaxing.

it was a few years since returning to this hotel,which is one of the most beautiful city settings on west lake.
Previously we had always asked for chairs and table on the balcony each visit, and we're pleased to see them on every balcony which is the biggest room features,to be able to sit and relax looking over the lake.
Overall the hotel and facilities are excellent, but there were many unnecessary annoying things.
Checking was chaotic, and took over 15minutes before another lady arrived and took over. The room was excellent,but the shower was not working and there were dead flies on the bed.these points should be checked. The mini bar was never checked and a call to instant service was required every other day to get it replenished.
We booked the club room which is one of the best in any IHG hotel, but some of the service let it down. 20 minutes to get a coffee,dragging someone off the computer to take breakfast order,staff arguing in the kitchen which could be clearly heard in the dining area. The food however was excellent,and well presented. Supervisors, which are in other club lounges around the world would ensure seem less service
