They also sent a cake to my room and I was given a couple of free drinks on the hotel. In my last few stays here the staff always outperforms any expectations that I have from a hotel of this calibre. 14 December 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Staff Knowledge This is the first time I stay at the Intercontinental property in Hong Kong. The hotel upgrade my room but the room is not very exciting apart from the full harbor view window. The breakfast is very good. This time I will complain the house keeping service. I checked in the room in the morning and get the room in the early afternoon but they sent the room amenity at 20:30. It is too late for us. You should send the room amenity before the turn down service. This should not happen especially a hotel in Hong Kong. 12 December 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good location but staff lack Customer Service skills. We had booked this hotel with 2 DBL beds but we only got rooms with 2 Twin Beds. Concierge staff who delivered suitcases to our room never had a smile. However this is across the board in Hong Kong. We lost a package and it was dropped in the lift. My daughter was frantic. We notified the reception but the staff did not check and said there was nothing there but later a staff from inside came and asked us what we were looking and when we told her, she said they had found it in the lift. They checked the security camera's and still did not let us know despite us frantically looking. I thought that was poor. Rooms were clean. 06 December 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Lovely hotel in Hk I love the room @ junior suite with Harbour view. My family enjoying the Hk trip by staying in this lovely hotel. Close to Harbour and close to most of the restaurant. Nevertheless it close to shopping mall. Breakfast selection in club lounge is fantastic lovely. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Thank you Grand Standford InterCon Grand Standford offers great value. Among the pros: easy access to Star Ferry, MTR and serviced by the Airport Express shuttle (K3). Since my last stay more than four years ago, the rooms have been elegantly updated. Concierge staff are knowledable and always willing to help. The only con, which isn't much of a con in my view, is the distance to the MTR - a five minute walk to TST station. 30 November 2013

All the staff made us feel so welcome and as we are frequent travelers and our party of four did not want to leave... The staff could not do enough for us and the location of the Hotel was fantastic. We will remember this stay for a long time as we have not received service like this hotel provided in many high end hotels. The hotel was spotless as I am very particular about cleanliness in any hotel... The shower was the best...so much pressure...you did not want to leave... we stayed at the crown plaza in London this hotel could not compare.... We highly recommend you go and experience the ambiance and the service that was provided to all guests. 30 November 2013

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Arrogant staffs Reception staffs are rude and command poor English. Breakfast room waitresses overall are very rude and I considered them racist! Only smiles and greet Caucasians and treated Asian rudely. Hotel looks dated. Overall, did not experience warm hospitality from renowned intercontinental hotel. Will not come back and recommend it in tripadvisor, period. 26 November 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by one night hop I stayed for a one night hop at the IC Stanford which was an easy in and out of Hong Kong. The ease of check-in and assistance with luggage, speed of staff and late check-out were definitely a pro when it comes to short stays like this. the property is well maintained at the entrance hall, though the room itself is slightly outdated and the bathroom could use some maintenance. overall outlook of the room though is in line with IC standard of perks and amenities. 21 November 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Room disappointed by Staff and Upgrade The room was nice but unfortunately my status did not give me an upgrade. The staff was not as helpful as I would have liked. The Club lounge was quite nice and well worth the expense. The daily housekeeping was awful and really should be improved. The best service I received was through the concierge/chauffer service; bravo to you guys! 21 November 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Home from the minute i arrive ! I always upgrade ro the club floor which i feel is great value for money and the staff are excellent. They now know me by my christian name and this adds ro my feeling of home from the minute i arrive. The staff cannot do more , they are lovely and never change which is nice when you can come back twice a year and see the same faces, The upgraded rooms are much better and the club lounge facilities one of the best i have encountered, small, boutique and special, Well done Grand Stanford once again it was a pleasure. 21 November 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Views Stayed just one night here on a stopover from New Zealand. It's a pity it wasn't longer. The hotel is fantastic in every sense, every single member of staff went out of their way to help and were polite and courteous throughout. We were upgraded to a suite which was greatly appreciated and offered a beautiful view of Victoria Harbour. The buffet breakfast is very very good and catered for all tastes, (eastern and western) and set us up well for a days sightseeing before our flight back to the UK. All in all it was a wonderful stay and ideally situated for all dining options if you don't want to eat at the hotel in the evening. 20 November 2013

Staff extremely helpful , rooms extremely comfortable - couldn't have wished for a better more relaxing stay. The staff is very friendly and always supportive. As I had my birthday during the stay, I got a nice little surprise when I came back to my room. A lovely cake was prepared and placed in my room. This made me question the value of the room upgrade, however it was a corner room with supposedly a better view and slightly larger. The breakfast was fantastic, and we had great concierge service. Really liked the location, with great options for dining out of the hotel. I would stay again and recommend this hotel. Did not book club room as seemed very expensive. 12 November 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by About Junior Suite Have been assigned at Junior Suite at harbor view. Yes, I could see harbor but in between buildings. That was little disappointed unfortunately. The room itself is quite comfortable, good size of walk-in closet. At living room, I could hear conversation from corridor easily as well as room service's knocking door at next door. I have misunderstood several times as my room knocked. It means how cleary I could hear knocking door. Felt sealing of door or thickness of door are not enough to avoid such noise. At bedroom, it was quite comfortable. There were two desks, one for work together with electric console and interface for Flat Panel Display. Another is designed for women. HDMI interface was works correctly. However, TV's Input interfaces at side panel have not been activated in the menu. I myself might be special but wanna use multiple HDMI inputs on TV. Those must be activated. My case, wanna connect, MacBook, Apple TV and camcorder. Good point is Apple TV worked without any problem once used router. Sometimes hotel's network does not allow to use router but here I could use. Bathtub, I felt little small comparing to other Intercontinental's Suite, for example Shanghai Pudong. They have little bigger one. 12 November 2013

I was only there one night and would have stayed longer if I could have. Room is well laid out. Fitness Centre is very nice and 24 hours. Will stay there again without question. 11 November 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Quality, Comfort & Great Service I've been staying at this hotel regularly for 7 or 8 years now and it is simply one of the best. The staff are excellent, always ready to help, always welcoming and professional. The rooms are spacious and clean with good facilities. The restaurants are of an excellent standard and deliver every time. Tiffany's New York bar is pleasant & relaxing place to unwind in comfortable surroundings and the Club Lounge is the best I've come across in any hotel anywhere. It's location is great for transport links and the Tsim Sha Tsui area is really becoming a vibrant and busy place with plenty of great bars, shops & restaurants to choose from. I simply would not stay anywhere else when I come to Hong Kong. 05 November 2013

The Ambassador upgrade to the suite allowed me and my son to enjoy the harbor's memorable view. Also, the help of Elsa, who met me at the front desk on the very first day of my stay in HK, and her willingness to assist me during our four days in HK contributed to my overall wonderful experience at this Continental. 04 November 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Really Nice Hotel in Kowloon G'day; Our first trip to Hong Kong, therefore we can't really compare this stay with anything in Hong Kong. We have stayed at many Intercontinental Hotels in Australia. The room was as good as we expected and good value for money. The buffet breakfast that was included with the room was very extensive, however, sitting in the M restaurant, we found it was way too cold. The air-con was set way to low, and because of this the food was cold before we got back to our seat. Even on the one night we went to the buffet for dinner, it was way too cold in there. The food was exceptional but by the time you sit down with anything hot, it was already cold an unappetizing. On night 8 we went into he buffet dinner on our last night, special night looking forward to a great meal. We asked for a table out of the main cafeteria, as we learnt that these tables were no greatly affected by the air-con, none were available. Where then we got seated was right under an air-con duct. Too cold, so no thanks!! Too cold!!! Too cold!! Any way, we did find a nice restaurant across the road, the food was glorious, the service was exceptional, and the air con was set at an acceptable level. So we did not leave Hong Kong hungry. Always enjoy staying ICH, may look around next time out!! 04 November 2013
